I'm actually considering buying another switch to play Wonder..

Out of the 9 badges I've unlocked so far, I've only used two. Parachute cap (which I think they pretty much give at the start) and the one I've used since the moment I unlocked it, Floating High Jump. Hopefully I'll get some use out of the others eventually, but for now the one I'm using is serving me well and there hasn't been a need to change it because it is helpful at reaching the top of the flagpoles which is one of the requirements for going for 100% completion.

Playing Wonder is legit making me feel like a kid again. I’m getting that “first time playing a new Mario” feel that just wasn’t there with other Mario games, as fun as they all are. It just feels so fresh. That…

…had me smiling from ear to ear. Already in love with this game.

I played Wonder with my little sister today.

We both love Mario games, but never played the New series together because we got frustrated with jumping on each other and all the weird obstructionist physics. We had a BLAST with this game, though.

Loving all the trippy game modes.

Enjoying world 2 much more than 1. Still not difficult, even the first 4 star difficult was easy, but I've died a few times and was stumped a bit on another level. Things are looking up.

I feel very bad anytime I need to kill a skedaddler. I wish we could just be buds.

I think my only complaint so far is that you can only use one badge at a time. I really love the badges and would love to be able to use at least 2 at a time. Especially since my favorite is the gliding cap, which kind of feels like it should just be a permanent ability that Mario has.

The game is fantastic though. We're still early into it, kinda easy, wish the gliding badge was permanent. Love how some of the characters don't take damage, but can't use power ups (good way to get my 3 year old daughter into it).

Can't wait to see more, very impressed so far (hoping difficulty bumps up a bit).

My copy got delivered a building over. Looked at the picture, mine was on top of a pile, went to the door it was delivered to, neighor was like "I didn't bring in the packages today, let me talk to my boyfriend", she comes back a few minutes later and says everything we got was ours and we didn't get that third package. I was like "So you only got two?" She was like, I mean, I've had packages taken from me, and I was like "so you think someone took the smallest, lightest envelope and left the rest behind." She just sorta shrugged, there wasn't much I could do so I smiled and gave her my door number if she did end up finding it.

Got on the horn with Amazon CS, their auto attendant was like you can get a refund after October 23, I was like chat with agent. It was like "agent will not be able to give you refund or replacement", I hit chat with agent, it was like "We're going to put you in a queue but one more time, chat agent will NOT be able to assist with product replacement!" hit chat with agent. Agent came on, i was like "Look at that picture of where you delivered it to, and look at the dozen deliveries you've taken pictures of that I got. That's not the same door." Agent was like "refund or replacement?" Should be here today. Spent all night playing Silent Hope instead ;(

super mario wonder is pretty damn good so far. I like all the different "twists" with each wonder seed change in the levels. I'm at the end of level 2. It feels like the creativity has tappered off a little. Either nothing has beaten the singing flowers in world one for me, and the levels really haven't topped that yet. Or I'm just adjusting to the weirdness. Desensitized so to speak.

Still great but I hope the levels can pick up the wow factor again soon.

The musician in me loves the drum roll that comes with the ass smash move (ground pound?).

Something similar happened with the first Switch I bought off eBay in 2017. (Bought that one used but the ACNH and Zelda OLED I have now were both purchased new.) Neighbor apparently stole it, feigned ignorance and then brought it over to me after a few days. Forgot what excuse it was he gave.

Ye! Very slick game so far, nice presentation. Not huge on the elephant but it's early. :p

Also, as somebody who finally actually tripped on the ol’ mushrooms for the first time recently, the way Wonder fudges around with the audio and makes it more echoey when Mario gets the wonder seed is very similar to how it sounds when taking psychedelics. Those “younger developers” who had input on this game 100% knew what they were doing.

I'm already heading towards the 6th (and final?) Wonder Seed. I saved the Fungi Mines for last. There were some really good levels in whatever the lava world is called. It was still a bit on the easy side but also still enjoying my damn self quite a bit.

But it's so different from any other Mario game ever. Like seriously not many "Nintendo" titles have full lines of dialogue. And I like their quips as you pass by them. Used my voucher to get Wonder today and happy with the decision. I played through the first world with one of my nephews and we had a blast. He has watched the Tree House content on the game so he was well ahead of me on what to expect.

The game is super easy, which is great because I've been looking for something that me and my son can play. He's been obsessed with New Super Lucky's Tales, so hopefully we can play something more co-op.

I've played the first world so far. Online is better than I expected. I've been saved by other players a couple of times.

I just finished Super Mario Bros. Wonder. That Bowser fight has overtaken the one in New Super Mario Bros. Wii as my favorite Bowser fight of them all. I only died once during it though, so I'm questioning their difficulty rating scale because that sure didn't feel like 5 stars.

Overall, great game. I'm just about ready to crown it as my favorite mainline 2D Mario game. Going to get started on reaching 100% in a bit.

Making my way through World 3. Between this, ToTK and FE Engage, Nintendo released some really great games this year.

I just finished Special World in SMB Wonder. So glad I saved this world for last. While I was able to one-shot half the levels (reach top of flagpole and get the collectibles in one attempt without dying) this is much closer to the difficulty I'd like throughout the rest of the game. These levels were some of the most fun in the entire game, and that final level especially, (insert chef's kiss emoji here). Difficulty-wise it might almost be on par with Champion's Road, though it's not too bad if you use the standees of other players online to revive you.

I believe there are a small handful of levels I've yet to unlock from earlier in the game, but besides that I think all that's left for me to do is grind for purple coins to buy the remaining 30 standees I don't have yet.

There's a few ideas from this game I'd like to see in a potential Super Mario Maker 3, particularly the badges. I feel like Nintendo didn't come close to making full use of their potential and some creative level makers might be able to do more with them.

Does anyone else hate the new Luigi voice in Wonder?

I played exclusively as Luigi like I always do when it's an option. After a while I barely even noticed the voice wasn't the same as usual.

In the last regular level and sort of loosing that wonder. I really like the visuals, new enemies, zaniness and that they are trying something different. On a different note it feels too different for me. It's definitely easier. The platforming feels less involved, but there are some good platforming levels albethem easy. The few deaths I have usually feel either completely careless or cheap. Not really caring much for the new power ups. All said I think this is a great start to a new series if they can expand upon it. Give me ghost houses and castles/battleships with boss battles every world. Give me 8 worlds. Give me more platforming mixed in with the zaniness. You can keep some of the other non-platforming levels, but have them be in addition to traditional levels. The Wonder sections of each "standard" level seems to have removed what would otherwise be more levels. Still have the end game and bonus worlds to go, so this might all change.

I'm really hoping Switch 2 has a Super Mario Maker 2 Deluxe (or 3) with the base game as is and a Wonder version added. There could be some phenomenal user created levels using Wonder's assets. So many possibilities.

I definitely noticed the difference in Luigi's voice, but it wasn't too bad at all. I mean we all probably have a fondness of Luigi's pitiful callouts to Mario in Luigi's Mansion. So you can tell a difference. But I will wait for a Luigi title to really judge how good it is. My first impression was, I'm not missing anything.

Hearing a lot of complaints about the flower voices? Ive left it on default and I think they are great. They add to the silliness and I do not find them annoying at all. For comparison the endless "bah, bah" from the NEW series was extremely annoying haha
