Actually just showed my wife Raiders the other night, and we're planning to watch through the rest of them soon. Good timing, I guess!

That movie could easily go either way, but I'm looking forward to it. Cannot lie and pretend that I didn't get a little bit misty eyed when the music started playing.

Also that de-aging tech is getting scary good these days. Looks like they plucked Harrison Ford right out of the 80s in a few of those shots.

Also, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Looks like they’re sticking to the more cartoon-accurate designs that we saw in the Bumblebee movie, which is neat. Also stars Anthony Ramos, who I really enjoyed in Hamilton and In the Heights.

Still bet the movie’s butt though, but I was pleasantly surprised by Bumblebee so who knows?

Guardians trailer looked good.
Antman... meh.
Transformers turn your brain off and hope for the best expecting the worst.
Indiana Jones... cringe. Ford is too old, and he hates everything. Go the Bond route or end it.

Ant Man has a better full trailer out, that one was mostly just a recap. Betting money Scott Lang bites it in the movie.

Guardians looks great and considering Vol 2 is one of my favorite MCU movies (with an ending that destroys me every single time), I have high hopes.

Why does Rocket look so different to me in that trailer? Like, even his head size seems wrong or something...

I don’t think he truly hates any of it, I just don’t think he loves the spotlight like most celebrities seem to and just looks at acting as a job. Seems like he just finds the overzealous fandom toward a lot of his roles to be fairly ridiculous and, to be fair, it sort of is. And I say that as someone who buys into that stuff in full haha. I think that reads as bitter to some, but to me he just comes off indifferent toward the whole idolization of movie stars and would rather not take part in that stuff.

But I don’t know the guy, so I could be way off. I’ll just continue to try to dig the stuff he puts out whether he does or not haha

Also, that one shot of Peter Quill screaming in the Guardians trailer may be the most emotive I've ever seen Chris Pratt. Looking forward to seeing how well he lands the heavy moments in that movie because he honestly did great in Volume 2 with all the Ego/Yondu stuff. I know he's not the best actor and doesn't seem to have incredible range but the emotion on his face in that one shot may make me rethink that assessment depending on how the scene itself pans out.

This is one of those "I won't watch any more trailers" situations. In fact, I wish I didn't watch this one. I usually have a thing where if I know I'm going to watch a movie anyhow, then I try to avoid any information about it. I will do that from now on.

Not a big deal. Just one of those things where I like to not see it. Like, I wish I didn't see Groot with his many-arm guns -- because I think that would have been awesome to see for the first time in the theater. That sort of thing.

idk, that 65 movie looks pretty good to me.

It was apparently a covid movie that the folks who wrote A Quiet Place wanted to make. I think it looks a little too “try hard” and free of levity, which won’t work for me personally given the silly premise. Just seems like a grimdark sci fi movie, but I’ll be more than happy to eat my shoe if I end up enjoying it. I do love Adam Driver & big ol’ dinosaurs after all.

I'm a simple man, I see killer dinosaurs in space and I click like. I'll watch that one for sure.

Hey, that's a great guess. That might be the case. I didn't catch if Driver's character was also in cryogenic sleep, so he might be just confused about where they are.

I cannot fudging wait for Kang. Jonathan Majors has been a favorite of mine for a while (ever since Lovecraft County and Da 5 Bloods), so seeing him in that role just gets me so pumped.
