Beat me to it on that one Jaw.

Marvel panel is on now. They may or may not put those trailers out. Apparently an Indiana Jones 5 trailer was shown too, but that is not on YT yet.

The lineup for Thunderbolts looks pretty fudging badass, I cannot lie. I wish William Hurt was still around to be Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk, considering the team was named after him in the comics. They could still introduce a Red Hulk though, if they really wanted to.

Umm, absolutely NOT named after Thunderbolt Ross. Baron Zemo, team founder, was not really a fan. Ross was not even a member till several team iterations later.

They could easily still do Red Hulk, especially if he never turns back to human form. But I think the fans would forgive a recast in this case.

Sam Elliott is still available.

Two Hulks is enough. Rulk was ridiculous enough as it is.

I always thought he was a better choice in the first place. One of the few things the older Hulk movie got right.

> Two Hulks is enough. Rulk was ridiculous enough as it is.

Rulk was always kind of a joke. Imagine the pitch: "He's the Hulk, but he's red. And he has the most ginormous guns ever. Why does a Hulk did need guns? Who cares, it'll look totally aweseome!"

One non-Disney one. This is a semi-autobiographical movie about Spielberg's own family.

Huh. I love Gibson's stuff -- Neuromancer is my favorite book of all time. It's the only book I've read multiple times. But then I just forget about keeping up with things. I haven't read Peripheral. I should do that before this series comes out...

So, I'm fine with the new Ariel -- doesn't bother me a bit. But, to your comment, aren't things at the bottom of the ocean usually like very pale white because they've had no sunlight? And things that are exposed to lots of sunlight end up darker? Seems like the opposite of what you're saying here. smile

Maybe, maybe. I'm no expert with that stuff.

I find it really weird that someone who really says they love Rian Johnson and they haven't watched his first (and arguably) best movie.

Annnnd not seeing Blade Runner yet?

My thoughts on you being a serious cine-file are waning.

Thank god tbh, would probably stop watching movies altogether if someone referred to me as a cinephile with no hint of irony SID.

To be fair, anyone calling themselves a "cinephile" is very likely into some weird crap with movies. smile

Whoa, that looks way more intense than I was expecting. I was already interested, but now I'm really looking forward to it.

Edit: The female lead in this show is Laura Donnelly, she plays Jenny in Outlander.

Real excited for Red Guardian, Yelena, Bucky, and US Agent. Didn't get enough from either of their movies to be too excited about Ghost or Taskmaster, but hopefully this movie will flesh them out much more. I feel like the ensemble could use 1 or 2 more members, but maybe it's fine.

As far as the animated ones go, I'm much more interested in Lower Decks than Prodigy.

We're watching everything -- and I enjoy it, sure. And I know that Prodigy is aimed at kids. And, for that, it's fine, I guess. But I feel like it goes a little too far from "realistic"/canon. Like, the "Kobayashi" episode was so wrong/annoying to me. Ignoring that episode, it's fine, I guess, but still just not where I think it could be.

Lower Decks, on the other hand, is great stuff! Funny and SO many past-Trek references snuck in. 👍

Prodigy seems like they are getting closer to canon stuff as they work their way closer to Federation space. The trailer and the NYCC panel mention a lot of alien races and upcoming guest stars that are drawn from the TNG era.

New trailer for Tim Burton's Addams Family show, Wednesday. Fred Armisen was revealed in trailer and at NYCC panel as playing Fester.

I say this every year but it's a shame NYCC is less about actual comics and more about movies/shows and all that crap. I was in the City today for a concert and stopped by the Midtown Comics GCT and snagged something though.

There are plenty of panels about comics, and certainly plenty of them being sold. It's just kind of hard to share trailers for a print comic.

NYCC is still way more comic-oriented than SDCC, but it's the second-biggest con for the year so there's always gonna be a multimedia presence.

There are a (very) few comic trailers. Usually for something huge like Civil War or the latest DC Crisis.
