What do you like to snack on?

Could be while you play videogames, while you're driving, working, whenever.

PBJ sandwich is often a go-to. If I’m feeling like indulging myself it’s Doritos Flamin Hot Limon chips. I’ll crush a bag of those in no time so I try not to get them often.

Mary's Gone Crackers (I've sometimes gone through multiple boxes a day)
Hu grain-free crackers (these are expensive as hell, so I try to ration them. So good though)
raw almonds (I go crazy on these)
apples (that counts right? I cut them in chunks and eat out of a bowl)
cereal

Nuts.

Peanuts, pistachios, cashews, almonds. Best snack ever.

Except maybe Dorittos, my kryptonite.

@egg I haven't tried the Hu crackers, but I just had earlier today the Mary's Gone Crackers olive oil + cracked black pepper thin crackers (they're rectangular). Very peppery. Pretty good.

Do you like peanuts as much as the others? You know when a can says "less than 50 percent peanuts," and the ratio is like 49/51?

Overall, I'd rank peanuts lowest of the group (with the exception that the pistachios and almonds are properly flavored). Yet I love them equally. I just left the browns game and absolutely enjoyed the F out of a big ol bag of peanuts. Peanuts work so well with beer; whereas the rest better pair with spirits and wine.

What about macadamias, pecans, and Brazil nuts? Fan of those?

And on a peanut note, do you like spicy things? If yes, I'd say try these if you can find them:

Since the suffix "ito" in Spanish means "small", the existence of a Dorito implies the existence of a larger Doro chip.

I have no clue how they get the peanuts to be spicy and also coated, but inside the shell. No idea.

I do organic creamy unsweetened Smuckers PB. I put a good bit of that on whole wheat bread and then just a thin layer of Bonne Maman strawberry jelly. I try to limit my sugar intake so very little jelly.

Totally with you on the Smuckers creamy unsweetened. It requires stirring, but it's worth it.

As for Bonne Maman, I don't know if I have or haven't tried that jelly. But I do have a jar of Bonne Maman red fruits spread in the cabinet. I wonder how that would go as a PBJ.

I have no clue. Maybe they soak them in some spicy water or something like that. I guess it penetrates the shell and seasons the nuts.

Yeah years ago when I first tried it it took some getting used to since I had eaten sweetened PB before but now I love it. Stirring is a minor hassle. It does get hard to spread after a while but I’ve found warning it up in the microwave for a bit softens it right up.

Probably worth at least trying. I’m not convinced Bonne Maman is the greatest jelly in the world but probably better than most of the generic processed stuff. My kids like it though so I go with it since I eat only a little anyway.

@Staraang I just opened up the Red Fruits spread and tried it with PB on crackers. Pretty good. As a bonus, I got what was either a whole cherry or maybe a currant as I was taking some from the jar. :)

This spread has a nice mild tartness.

Coffee Crisp is a chocolate bar made in Canada. It consists of alternating layers of vanilla wafer and a foamed coffee-flavoured soft candy, covered with a milk chocolate outer layer. Originally launched by British company Rowntree's, it is currently owned and commercialized by Nestlé.

I like all the dark chocolate but I prefer the stuff on the darker side maybe 75-85%, up to 90%. Anything after that and it stops being enjoyable. My brother just got a bar of 100% dark chocolate, some fancy stuff the other day and it was like just eating straight up cocoa, not pleasant at all. Anything higher than 90 is just too dark for me.

@BioHazardMan Any particular favorites that you go for in that 75-90% range?

I bought a bar of 100% once. Tasted extremely rich, almost like muenster cheese. But zero sweetness.

Someone once bought me a 101% bar, I'd say mostly for the humor. It was 100% + had cacao nibs in it, so the company called it 101%. It wasn't bad.

The regular ones come in many flavors but they are very thick so they're dry. You can only eat a few of them before you need something to wash it down with.

The thins are much better for munching. But they came in only two flavors and I only ever tried the plain ones.

IMO of course

Not sure if it's the same in the US, but yeah Nestle Crunch was my jam growing up and I loved them .. but maybe 5 years ago is when I noticed the taste change. I thought maybe it was a bad bar or something and I had another months later and it was the same. It just tastes wrong, it tastes like trash... I can't really put my finger on it... Maybe if there was a bunch of expired chocolate and they decided to make Crunch bars from it.

For me, it really depends on the orchard and the growing conditions for the year. The ones I usually like: Fiji, Honeycrisp, Jonagold, Empire, Ginger Gold, Crispin/Mutsu, and Gala/Royal Gala. These are basic eating apples, without the tartness of a Macintosh. If it's a good year, the apples are very sweet and flavorful, with a good mouthfeel (crisp and juicy, not mealy). But some years, an apple variety just tastes watery and grassy. There was one year I went all in on Northern Spy, despite its tartness.

For grocery store apples, I'd stick with Golden Delicious, Braeburn, and Gala - these have a good chance of tasting decent, though it all depends how fresh they are. I'm spoiled by local PYO fresh apples in autumn and generally eschew apples at the grocery store.

A bunch of those I haven't heard of. Jonagold, Ginger Gold, Mutsu, Northern Spy. Maybe it varies state by state. I don't think I've seen any of those in local stores.

Are they vastly different than granny Smith, golden del, red del, Cortland, Honeycrisp? Those are the ones I think I generally see around here.

Those are the varieties I like in the orchard (PYO = pick your own). They're unlikely to be at most grocery stores. Most orchards seem to have a retail portion where they sell bags of their apples during and after the picking season. One of the nearby orchards tries to sell year round (I think they have specialty freezer for the apples).

Yes, they do taste different but I'd be hard pressed to find the words to describe them. Ginger gold has a bit of warmth on the end note (hence "ginger" in the name). I find Fuji (I misspelled earlier, it is not Fiji like the island) and some Gala to have floral notes amidst the sweetness. I didn't have any Empires this year, so I can't recall any specific flavor other than that it is a sweet apple. Northern Spy is generally described as a baking apple. From what I recall, the ones I had were enormous in size and had a mix between sweetness and a sharp tart bite. They are a late growing variety (early to mid October, iirc). This year I also had what I think are Cameo apples, but I'm not sure because the row wasn't marked that day and I always forget where the varieties are each year (even though it's not like the trees move each season). Baking apples include red Roma, Pink Lady and Paula Red, irrc. Very hard and dense texture and mouthfeel to those baking apples. You mentioned Cortland - Macoun is also popular, though I dont find it or Cortland to have as strong flavor as other types.

I noticed that the Empires at one orchard look and taste different than the Empires at another, so I don't think there's a strict genetic standard the orchards have to follow - they could be two different phenotypes and still be the Empire varietal, for instance. the exception to that is Honeycrisp, I think those are (or were) patented/controlled (which is why they are more expensive), so I imagine there'd be more consistency among the orchards. The growing season, individual tree, and terroire exert influence on the final fruit's flavor profile, too.

I feel spoiled, there are three apple orchards near my house, each about a 5 minute drive away. At least two of them all do peaches, raspberries, and blueberries - and one of them also does cherries (which I only learned about this year). There's nothing quite like fresh, ripe red raspberries - all sweet and floral, no sourness that you get in the unripe ones at the grocery store. Gotta eat them fast, they are fragile and don't last more than a day in the fridge. Scrumptious!

They’re a pretty mild tasting apple, a cross between Fuji and Braeburn.

Paper towel's perfectly safe in the microwave (PRETTY SURE), so no need to worry about that. I've used it as a base for stuff like hot pockets and vents for bowls and stuff for decades, never had an issue. That said, I won't stop you from practicing safety!

I think Stephen King says he cooks fish in the microwave with paper towel or something. Now that, I say just pop it in the oven for however long with some lemon juice and herb sprinkled on top

I use either a paper plate or parchment paper. I don't typically use paper towel in the microwave, though I think I might've a couple times, but @DarkFact says it's probably perfectly safe... so I guess it's okay wink

But kidding aside, the only thing I was told to ABSOLUTELY NOT put in the microwave is aluminum foil, though I'm not sure why. I haven't ever tried it, and I don't intend to.

Metal in the microwave is bad. It will spark. Sparking/burning metal is bad as it releases bad fumes from impurities in said metal. Also sparks can lead to fire.

Paper towels are fine so long as there is no spark or they are wet. Microwaves need to have moisture, as the microwaves excite the water molecules which creates heat. Running a microwave without moisture is bad for the microwave.

Most food contains water. That's why microwaving food usually dries it out, especially the outsides. (Cooks outside in as the water molecules on the outside of the food absorb the energy and heat up)

The more exposed surface area you have the more even heating. Cut up food, arrange in a circle, and rotate it half way. Most microwaves rotate/move for this reason, but what I said helps. It also helps to leave it in the microwave for a few minutes for the temp to even out through conduction (hot areas of food heat up cold areas through contact) and convection (hot air heats up cold areas of food).

If you microwave food that has a similar diameter/length to a multiple of the wavelength of a microwave it can spark and burn. It focuses and amplifies the energy. Grapes can do it. I've had popcorn chicken do it if it touched another popcorn chicken. Pretty crazy as the food will burn like an electrical fire. (Don't do it)

The black "screen" that is in the window is there to protect you from the microwaves. They block them from leaving the cook area, and that's why they don't run with the door open. Don't run a microwave with it busted out. You are 70% water, and radiation is bad... m'kay?

Microwave in a nutshell.

Thanks for the info. In fact I recently burned something myself by trying to heat up a dry piece of apple cake crust. It literally burned a hole through the microwave safe container. There was smoke. Inside of microwave got dirty. Was not happy. x( I was wondering if the lack of moisture was partly to blame, in addition to there being such a small portion of food. Apparently both of those things are factors. (I hear that the more food you put in a microwave, the more cooking time required. For example, while one poached egg may take 60 seconds, cooking two poached eggs cooked at once may require about 90. Therefore, small portions of food are inherently risky imo as there is an increased chance of burning, whereas large portions of food can simply be cooked repeatedly until it's hot enough.)

I planned to add a bit of water to certain foods in the future because I figured the steam would help heat the food. Turns out this is exactly what a microwave does. This is good to know.

I think you are probably putting things in for too long if you had a fire and an explosion. Not all microwavea are equal strength so try shorter times to see how that works out. You can always add more time if it didn't get hot enough the first time through

Either that or something is seriously wrong with the microwave.

Using a microwave to cook is pretty convenient, but the cooking time options for less amounts of time are fairly limited, at least in the one that we use. The least amount of time is the 30 second button. There's no input method to run it for let's say just 10 or 15 seconds.

The only way to do that, at least that I'm aware of, is to start the microwave on any amount of time, and then press the stop button while it's running. Seems like an oversight in the feature section.

They might be even better than the No Cow bars I mentioned before since the protein comes from milk as opposed to brown rice and peas as is the case with No Cow. If you microwave in a super smooth glass or the water is distilled it can explode. Mythbusters covered the latter.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1_OXM4mr_i0

Basically if anything prevents the water from boiling it becomes superheated and can explode once the tension is broken. You'll need to let it cool a bit before handling.

This is good advice for microwaving nearly everything: leave it in the microwave for a minute or two after it's done. It will help even out the heat.

The caramel cashew tastes exactly like 3 Musketeers. Which is funny because I don't think I've even had a 3 Musketeers anytime in the past decade. (so how do I remember what it tastes like?)
The only other flavor I tried was salted peanut. I don't know how to describe it but it's pretty self explanatory- peanut and chocolate. Good stuff.
There are other flavors but I thus far I've just been buying those two.

P.S. Regarding the microwave incident before. I think it was the egg that exploded, not the water. My bad.

At one time I thought I would use the microwave to heat water for tea, but when I googled it there are so many damn rules for heating water. Like how the container must not be smooth and that you should put a wooden spoon inside the container. Like.. what is that even. Who has wooden spoons? A mixing spoon maybe. Or a wooden spatula. But those are too big. Why not, like, a toothpick? (Or is that too small?)

nothing has come remotely close. I don't even know what a comp would be for it honestly because it was a peanut butter peanut hat was crispy but wasn't a peanut is the best way to describe them.

Those are very long unless I break it in half. But I don't want splinters in the water.

oh, what I could do is break it in half, put the non broken side sticking out so it's not in the water, and heat the water /uncovered/. This is assuming the stick won't float... but maybe I'm thinking of straws.

A toothpick sounds better.

EDIT: Yesterday I ate a box of these in one go:
image
https://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&lo...
I usually never buy anything with added sugars, so I don't know what's come over me. The box says keto-friendly and that the company is founded by a diabetic (so WHY is there sugar in it) but at least it's a small amount. 2g per serving which is TWO cookies, so only 1g per cookie. I've recently bought my sister Trader Joe's maple leaf sandwich cookies that had 9g sugar per cookie. So we're talking a big difference. https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/maple...

Anyway, the Catalina cookies were awesome. I plan to buy more.

P.S. I had crackers afterwards and a protein bar. (I was really, really hungry) I would've thought I'd feel junky after all that but I don't at all, and have plenty of energy. Interesting.. I can live with this.

Are you kidding me? Trader Joe's sells pre cooked & peeled boiled eggs. (It's in a resealable pouch, like a bag of nuts, lol what.) According to this article it costs only a dollar more than buying regular raw eggs.

http://exploringtraderjoes.blogspot.com/2017/06/tr...

I have really got to look for these next time I'm at their store.
I've seen tricks/hacks to make eggs easier to peel, but at the end of the day you still have to peel them. I'd kill to be able to skip this step.

Been focused on finding healthy/protein snacks. Got a couple I'm really digging:

Jerky: https://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&lo...
- Overall I like this brand a bit better. The meat just feels more ... juicy/tender.

More Jerky: https://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&lo...
- Just started on these, only a couple flavors in.

Pumpkin Seeds: https://www.superseedz.com/
- All the flavors are incredibly good!

Curious to hear from others on healthy/protein snacks.

I grabbed every variety I could give. The low salt ones are my fave but the s&p and chili are pretty great if I’m craving salt.

When I'm eating healthy, it's typically almonds or bananas for me. Maybe a slice of peanut butter bread (a healthier brand, on wheat bread).

When I'm not eating healthy, my favorite snacks are buffalo pretzels, cheddar jack cheeze-itz, and cookie dough Twix.

Yeah they're fairly new. They had Cookies and Cream Twix for a while and they were amazing, but apparently they were just a limited time thing, because they suddenly disappeared from stores and the cookie dough variety took their place. I preferred cookies and cream, but cookie dough is almost as good.

Keep in mind there's two varieties: plantains, and sweet plantains.

I haven't had the regular plantains. It's the sweet plantains that reminds me of banana chips. Not as super crunchy, but had that mild sweetness. Not the same as banana but, well, it's not banana.

I don't know if this is considered a snack, but I tried natto the other day.

It's fermented soy beans. Supposedly very popular in Japan and eaten daily by many people. Here's the kanji of it, cause why not: 納豆

Somehow, the strain of bacteria that's used to ferment soybeans results in stringiness on the surface of the soybeans. And if you stir it, the stringiness increases! Yeah, seriously.

It smells pretty strong and tastes kind of nuttyish. First I tasted it plain and then added salt and pepper.

Anyone else tried natto? What about other funky foods?

I've been really into overnight oats for breakfast the past few months.

In a small Tupperware, mix plain Oats with chia seeds and stir up. Pour in enough skim milk to get a layer over the oats. Put cut up strawberries and blueberries on top. Put plain vanilla yogurt on top (I use Triple Zero). Put in the fridge overnight and mix. I sometimes sprinkle in some ground cinnamon as well.

They taste really good and should be pretty good nutritionally as well. I am still learning about what foods should be purchased organic and which can just be normal. I get organic strawberries, blueberries, and Chia seeds. However I know for some foods organic is a scam, such as for bananas and avocados.

It does get fairly thick overnight. Oatmeal is tasty. Oats and strawberries does actually sound pretty good.

I also like Greek yogurt and fruit. Made lemon tofu pudding stuff the other day (1/2 cup agave nectar, 1 block tofu, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 2 tbsp lemon zest, purée in blender). It was pretty good.

Pickles, tomatoes, olives, and cottage cheese are also some of my favorites. I was kind of a weird kid.

We actually borrowed it from the Martha Stewart website and tweaked it a bit because agave nectar is a little less of a pain in the butt to work with than honey in dessert recipes. And yep, one package of tofu.

Corrected recipe:
1 package tofu (drained)
1/2 cup agave nectar
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tsp lemon zest

Purée in blender until desired consistency.
Put in bowl(s).
Apply your choice of blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries after it’s done.

Lettuce is a surprisingly good and refreshing snack. Sit outside with a bag of lettuce and a drink, listen to music or a podcast. Look at the trees.

Sadly, the biggest tree here lost a lot of it a few years ago in a storm or something. Gigantic and green and just great. Now there's a huge open space where that section of the tree used to be. Now I get a view of a bunch of houses and much less🌲.

I'd kinda compare it to microwave popcorn. Sure, you can get it in a bag, already cooked, but it's kinda nice popping a warm pork rind into your mouth. You can hear it still crackling once you pull it out of the microwave. Not something I'd want all the time, but it's nice to have on occasion.

Why are many people against fruit on pizza? Pizza is typically salty and fruit is sweet or tart. It sounds like a good combo.

I like the sweet and salty going "together" idea, but I like them separate. Like, if I have something sweet, then sometimes some potato chips go great with it after. But I don't necessarily want to combine them into one bite...

That kind of aversion to fruit on pizza is exactly what I was referring to. Perfect reaction to illustrate what I meant.

@John doesn't seem extremely against it, just would prefer it separate. But you sound strongly against it. Why? Don't get me wrong, you don't have to like it. You're entitled to your taste preference. Everyone has different things that they like. But I'm just curious why you're so opposed to it. What's so bad about it to you?

I don't typically like salty and sweet together. The only exception I can think of is chocolate covered pretzels, but even then, it's really not the salty and sweet combo I like, I just like the chocolate/pretzel combination. I like them better if there's little or no salt on the pretzels.

I will say that, several times, I have had "pizza" that is basically fruit on a cream cheese "sauce" on pizza dough crust. It was fantastic!

But that's not really what you mean here, I know. smile

A perfect illustration of the absolute worst a pizza can taste is a slice with fruit on it. I just can’t take sweet on cheese.

I also used to really enjoy corn nuts. That was until I was exposed to these. Now I can't go back.

Oh yeah, that's what initially drew me to them. I was like "this looks like a bloated XL corn nut." Taste is so much better though. Almost like a cross between a corn nut, and pop corn, but with a harder consistency than traditional corn nuts.

Appreciate the offer, but I'll look around here more first. I honestly only ever really go to one store. Because its two blocks from me. And I'm lazy and a creature of habit. But there are like 5 or 6 other stores within a 2 mile range of me. I just never go there. I bet one of them has them. Its just this Fry's that is super close to me doesn't carry too much of anything. Its a small store. I would imagine one of them has the other flavors. One of the stores is a Walmart grocery only store. I bet they'd have it. If not Albertsons probably does. That Albertsons is a huge.

I figure this topic is as good as any for this question. So I have never lived in a house with a beverage only fridge before. I've ordered some stacking containers that can hold 12 cans a piece. I've got 20 of those.

I'm thinking something like:
Coca Cola
Pepsi
Diet Pepsi
Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi
Sprite
Diet Sprite
Squirt
Mtn Dew
Dr Pepper
Orange
Grape
Ginger ale
Root beer
Cream soda
Remaining rotating in random stuff

Bottles of water
Gatorade - blue, orange, red flavors
Lipton Iced Tea
and 3-4 6 packs of my favorite beers.
Maybe a case of white claw

what am I missing? does that sound like a solid beverage fridge? I don't drink much, like 2-3 times a year. I have a lot of nieces and nephews that live around here so I want to be the place that has the awesome beverage fridge.

Sounds like a nice variety. How about some cans of plain seltzer? Some people love it. And maybe put a variety pack of stur liquid water enhancer drops on top of the fridge (I'm not at all affiliated with them, just a fan of the product).

Maybe also some cans of xevia soda if you can find it? I haven't tasted it, but it seems like a decent option for those who don't want sugar, but want a sweet bubbly drink.

You're on your way to cooluncledom :)

Depends on what I'm in the mood for, but lately I've found myself snacking on the following:

pickles
donuts
Tostitos tortilla chips w/ mild/medium salsa (depends on which one I get for free from Customer Appreciation coupons at Kroger)
original Doritos w/ mild/medium salsa
Dot's Pretzels (red bag)

And sometimes I do snack on fruits/veggies... depends on the mood I'm in and what's available.

What kind of pickles?

There's a pickle called Wickles Pickles that's pretty great. They make a great relish too.

Have you tried tostitos multigrain scoops? I decided to try them once, brought home a bag. They're pretty good. They became a favorite. The chips have this nice toasted almost nuttyish flavor.

Kosher dill spears, baby dill pickles, and for the first time I actually drank the pickle juice from the "Oh Snap! Dilly Bites" when I ate the pickles... they were good and the juice was okay... not worth buying mostly because I was paying for the convenience where I got them.
I've not heard of Wickles Pickles. I'll have to check it out.

I don't think I've seen the multigrain scoops, but I'll definitely look out for them... I almost always get the scoops ones.

I've been trying out some different low carbs beers.

Yuengling Flight - 95 calories, 2.6g carbs, 4.2% alcohol
Heinekin Silver - 95 calories, 3.2g carbs, 4.0% alcohol

Both are pretty good alternatives to the Michelob Ultra or Miller Lites I typically drink. I know a lot of people like the more full beers but for the same amount of carbs, I'll take 3 of these "Ultra Light" beers anyday of the week over a single Budweiser. I would recommend both the Yuengling and Heinekin for someone who is into ultra light beers!

I can't seem to get into beer. I've tried many, but I usually don't care much for the taste. Although, I recently tried a beer that I didn't mind. It was a sour beer. The tartness was refreshing.

Since being diagnosed diabetic, I have defaulted to a few snacks. I’ve been eating more or less the same stuff for almost 2 months with the only deviations being if I’m forced to because I’m out of something, the grocery store is out of something or I’m out with a friend.

-Two Good yogurt. Not my favorite yogurt, but I don’t think they make yogurt with the fruit in it anymore so I put fresh fruit in it myself and it’s great.

-String cheese.

-A slice of mozzarella cheese, a tomato and a slice of basil. I put some balsamic glaze on it sometimes.

-Cashews.

That’s all I have for right now. Kinda boring but I have to start being good somewhere.

The slice of cheese + tomato + basil sounds like a quick pizza bite type snack.

Cashews are great. How would you rate them compared to other nuts? Favorite?

What kind of cheese for the pizza bite? Mozzarella? Muenster?

I learned a great hack for pistachios. You know those pistachios that are really difficult to open because the opening isn't large enough? You take a pistachio half shell and wedge it in there and twist. Usually works and doesn't hurt your fingers.

Thanks for the pistachio tip! I usually just mess my fingers up with it or leave them uneaten haha.

Yes, it’s mozzarella cheese I use with the tomato and basil.

:) You're welcome. I used to do the same before I found out about it. Hurting my fingers or just not eating the hard to open pistachios. Try it next time you get a stubborn one. You'll be pleasantly surprised. But I don't have a solution for those occasional pistachios that are fully closed. The shell trick only works when there's at least somewhat of an opening. But I don't know what to do with the fully closed ones. A hammer maybe? What do you do with those?

I love pistachios and those hard to open shells are annoying, but my hack has been to just pop one in my mouth and bite down just enough to crack it more.

Im really loving Gringo Bandito hot sauce. It was made by the lead singer of the band The Offspring. I discovered it when I went on my low salt diet. It has significantly less salt than other hot sauces on the market such as Franks. I use it on just about everything, it has a great flavor.

Pickled fruit is interesting. The sweetness of the fruit with the sourness of the pickling.

The only Doritos varieties I like are taco flavored and nacho cheese flavored.

I typically go for potato chips/crisps over tortilla chips though

I love my chips, but I am on a Dorito Kick right now. They have IMO the best BBQ flavor, I did maybe kind of burn myself out on Ranch thought, they were my go to for 28 years or so. But the Sour Cream and Onion Doritos are pretty damn good. I will have to stock up on both the All Dressed and SC&O before they go away.

But if you want a good Dill pickle chip, Walmarts Extreme Dill Pickle are pretty damn good.

These chips are solid. I'd say give them a try. Unless you detest cauliflower, in which case don't. But I think the base of the chip is cassava. It's not like they chipified pure cauliflower.

Those chips look pretty good. Will need to look out for them.

I recently made a kimchi grilled cheese sandwich after stumbling upon a YouTube short with the recipe. Wasn’t bad though I’m not sure it’s good enough where I’ll do it again.
If any of you are interested you sauté the kimchi for a couple minutes in a little bit of oil, remove it from the pan and slice it up. Next get your bread and apply a slice of cheddar to one side and a slice of mozzarella to the other. Sandwich the kimchi in between the slice and cook the sandwich like you would a normal grilled cheese.
Easy enough to make and was a bit more interesting than a regular grilled cheese.

I just made my own trail mix. I used banana chips, dried pineapple, dark chocolate chips, Craisins, pistachios, cashews, almonds, and freeze dried peanuts.

I don't think I've ever made trail mix before. It was a expensive, but it made a lot. I'm freezing half of it.

It seems to be delicious, so far.

I'm not sure if it's new, but this was my first time trying them. I always like to try different types and brands of pretzels.

I used to love these as a kid. Frito Lay knocked them off with Chester Cheetah version which are also very good.

Spicy Nacho is and always will be my go to Dorito. Recently Tapatio was a really good flavor, but I'm guessing they discontinued those as I haven't seen them in awhile. I also remember a Pizza Hut flavor in the 90's, and I swear the tortilla was flour based. I loved those things.

Edit: Found them, but can't get it to show ("Pizza Cravers!" Pizza Hut):

Not Cheeto. More like a Cheeto Puff, but closer to a Funyon in terms of crunchy.
