So, I never grew up with any cool "big boy" toys (sans Nintendo) - hell, my Mom wouldn't even let me have a beebee gun, parents couldn't afford stuff like that but also my Mom was always super nervous. Love being able to do stuff like this for my kids and live vicariously through them!
My kid just went to a bday party today, got to ride his first dirt bike (rode an EV and gas - preferred the gas), and he's obsessed! He's talked about one for awhile now, and his 7th bday is coming up.
Have done some basic homework, talked to some buddies that know their crap, and think I'm going with the Honda CRF50. Gonna check out one in person to see how well he fits (he's a tall dude). It's expensive but after seeing ones that are 5+ years old, still selling for retail minus a couple hundred, I'd rather buy new because this will be passed down to his two siblings, so I think I can justify the cost of entry on this.
ANYWAY, anyone know if dealers are negotiable on these things? Zero background here on how the game is played. Every single dealership I've found them at so far, all identical pricing with MSRP. Trying to see if there's a way to save a few bucks.
Thanks!
