I'm in the same boat, only I never ended up picking it back up. Sold it off probably over 10 years ago and regret it big time. Hopefully I can find a decent price or a trade some day!

I just love the baby Mario and Luigi. I think I beat the game three times but sadly it will just sit because of the backlog of other games. As much as I love this game I would never pay more than the game originally cost which was $39.99. That's my own rule for buying games. I know pretty much all the retail prices and definitely remember all the clearanced prices. Thankfully that's not the case for other people but that is the case for me I won't spend more than the original cost.

I'm currently playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. Great stuff so far, though I'm not sure if the expansive Minion Quest mode (the one at the end of the title) will count as a second game.

So far I'm really enjoying it too! It's funny and I like the combat. Could do without the Okami-like speech sounds. I have that Galaxy style 3ds and I didn't have any games for it, so I imagine I have a lot of catching up to do!

I really don't like paying over the original MSRP for games either. Some games like Mario RPG or Chrono Trigger I kind of use inflation as an excuse to pay more. Partners in Time looked like it just came out of the plastic, was definitely more than I wanted to spend but I feel satisfied.

I just can't live with myself if pay too much. My friend had a video game store back in the 90's and got video games that game out of back of a truck. I could get any game I wanted brand new for $35 a piece. SNES, TURBOGRAFX, GENESIS, and SEGA CD any or all of them for that price. Thats what i paid for Super Mario RPG when it came out. I didn't know where he got this games but I was fine with it because I didn't have a ton of money. And he paid 20 bucks a piece maybe 15 months they were hot. I think he worked for a distributor that mainly dealt with video stores and stuff like that back then so they fell off a truck. I never did it I just reaped the benefits. Not really the best reason for not wanting to spend a lot of money for it but I just can't spend that kind of money on a game. Tops I think I've ever paid for a game is for for Street fighter 2 for SNES was like 65 bucks from Walmart back in the day.

That's the most I think I've ever paid for a video game in my life. Almost all the great rpgs we love or want were on clearance for $1.50 to $10 each. Knowing that will not allow me to spend more. The game had been like 74.99 at Walmart and then it went on sale because I had an ad to price match it at Walmart plus an extra 10 percent off. Still makes me sick knowing that games like Snatcher was $0.99 for Sega CD each at Toys r us but I passed on it like most everyone else. Knowing that will not allow to spend more than retail which normally was 39.99 to $59.99 back then. Its my only reason to justify spending at all on video games. Thankfully other people don't feel that way but I do. Everything has a price and when it goes over that its not worth having for me. Finding games years ago was our generations gold rush. Things have gotten so expensive I just can't compete anymore.

I looked back on my trades and saw my first trade here cost me $85 for Dragon Force. That's the most I ever spent and the guy I bought from on here had one deep scratch on the game. I was so pissed and then found it used in mint shape less than a month later for $4 in excellent shape. That purchase changed my buying on all future games and had my trust for people and this site completely shaken. Thus I have never spent money like that since but it also made me very determined to always say my games were in that exact shape I sell them. I already did that anyway but still made worry about buying games here though. Still pisses me off thinking about that game over 20 years ago that I got taken.

I always find it entertaining over the years looking back at my first 20 or so trades to see how unbalanced they look in todays market. Had some go both ways. Ironically out of those first 20 trades the only game I still have was from my second trade.

There are plenty of generous people here who would actually undervalue/undercondition their games. I hope that one event, while unfortunate, won't dissuade you from gtz. (You can always ask for pics)

Nothing stopped me from trading or selling. I've gotten a game more recently that a lot of yellowing that was not listed as listed as condition when I got it. I just avoid a few people in particular because of it. The site is great but one bad apple in the bunch can spoil everything. I'm sure everybody who has bought anything online has had condition that was much less than described. And it really can wreck your day and make for a lot of trust issues.

I rarely have something to post here, but I had some good luck recently. I saw someone on here selling the Atelier Iris games, and I thought about buying them, but the seller decided to keep them before I made an offer. I was still thinking about it and, on a whim, I typed "Atelier Iris" into the search box on the Target website while I was looking at games for their B2G1 free offer. As it turned out, they had Atelier Iris 2 and 3 from a Target Plus partner for $29.99 each new and sealed. I ordered one of each, and they've shipped out already, but it must have been a mistake (maybe old prices they never updated?), because now the same games from the same seller are on the Target website for $54.99 and $79.98 respectively.

@Bleed_DukeBlue Maybe that seller had the games listed on there for a long time and forgot about them. Perhaps after you bought it they decided to raise the price because it sold and they have more.

I hope you got rid of those toxic plastic hucard sleeves. The plastic on those is degrading and will damage those hucards.

Fortunately none of the games included the sleeves. Infact Keith courage, the retaining arm that holds the hucard (that’s what I’m calling it “retaining arm”) is missing.

No recent deals, but I'm not browsing that much on the computer. I guess I still have a lot to backtrack and list out, so there's no real point in getting more in the how much more do you want, but just saw an awesome deal that was pending than deleted in Ottawa. Pick up only, so no cigar, but it had Metal Gear Solid IN BOX, House of the Dead 2 IN BOX, than command & conquer the yellow box one, tiberian sun, some others. But those 2 games are true gems. Guess if you can find it, you can so call feel like a winner.

Saw a deal in Edmonton, Alberta, for 100 games. Asking for more pictures, but will prob share for someone else to pick up prob. Shipping 100 games, and she wants $100 OBO for them already. I dunno, lol. Still trying to find some deals when I have the time. But it might be the last warm day today, and it's raining, so gotta enjoy it before the dreaded cold hits, and Christmas is not festive in my mind lol

A 2nd & Charles opened up near me a few years ago. I popped in but being a retail store didn't really seem like anything worth my time. I had nothing else to do a few weeks ago so I decided to check it out. The items are actually pretty fairly priced and I picked a few undervalued anime sets. I had a 10% off coupon, so I decided to go back today:

image

Two anime sets are new and sealed, about $20 for the pair before discount. Red Dead is for my collection and it was $36 before discount. No codes but everything else is there.

I guess someone traded in a binder of disc only games but instead of pricing, the store just inventoried them as a loose game and slapped a $5 price tag on them. Everything in this photo (plus a Catan magnet I got as a Xmas gift for my parents) was $84 after 10% discount.

Those stickers come off real easy. Now if they used those security stickers they used on the back of games and dvds with the metal in the sticker then that would be trouble. 2nd & Charles was awesome when they first came here. The first year or so was a 4 day a weeker. Now though its once a quarter. Still get a little something here and there though. Good finds though Porksta. smile

Yeah the stickers really aren't bad at all. Wish more places used stickers like that. I did ask if I could take the sticker off Red Dead before I bought it and had no issues.

Those metal stickers are a dog and a half. The "void" stickers come off easy, but other stickers with metal inside are a nightmare.

I purchased a bunch of games from a Library sale last year and was probably only able to successfully remove one of the metal library stickers without causing major cover art damage. I decided to just leave them on for the remainder.

I will advocate Unduh for sticker removal though. I was able to get some nasty old rental stickers off of a few N64 boxes and cartridges without damaging the label or cardboard. yes

That must be a "deal" that varies from GameStop location to another, because my local store still had it for around the price I paid, but not on clearance anymore (another store in my area, not the same one). It's one of those YMMV deals.

I'm really happy to have found this at a resale shop yesterday for $9!

I remember being really interested in this about 4 years ago but never bought it due to the high price and numerous $20 expansion sets.

The cards are all still sealed, and the device still has plastic on it. I don't think this was ever used. I'm really looking forward to playing with it! grin

*Side Note* Harmonix really knows how to make devices that take up a ton of space raspberry

I'm a big fan of EDM/remixes. I was probably a DJ in another life. I don't plan to use this thing daily or anything, but I know I'll get quite a bit of mileage. Especially since you can save your own mixes :D

Yeah I'm very happy with it. I already have a SNES but I've been playing it a lot lately so I figured a back-up isn't the worst idea.

Deals were

Buy a console get $25 store credit which is available for immediate use (so then the SNES became $75)
Any games you buy for a system you buy are 25% off which then stacks with buy one get one free they were offering on all used games under $49.99 and under.

I figure it's a solid deal by like $40-50 and a "free" SNES.

I've got a PAC-MAN itch, so I nabbed a GBC/GBA lot for $9.54. I went back and forth on whether or not to buy it at all, but the seller ultimately compromised and took my offer. I've already got the BIONICLE game, but I might try the SpongeBob game since TheLonelyGoomba on YouTube seemed to like it.
