Description

Once a trusted wise guy in the Leone crime family, Toni Cipriani was forces into hiding after killing a made man. Now he's back and it's time for things to be put right. The streets of Liberty City are in turmoil. Warring mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. No one can be trusted as Toni tries to clean up the mess in the city's chaotic underworld. Deranged hitmen, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone control. Forced to fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake Liberty City to its foundations, Toni must use any means necessary to secure his palce in the leadership on the Leone family in a town up for grabs.

Hop into a random passing by taxi and take Vicenzo to his safehouse. Missions such as this go on, but with different assignments. It may not sound that exciting, but this is what Grand Theft Auto fans love...the freedom the games offer. I've played all the GTA games in the franchise, and by far my favorite was GTA III. To sum it all up, this is GTA: III's little brother. What is actually pretty funny about the game is that the graphics are only a tiny bit worse than GTA III for the PS2. You get back the good old freedom of running around, hi-jacking, shoot-outs and great characters the franchise is known for. The game also keeps its reputation for the massive amount of cheat codes so that the game has seemingly endless replay value. Now that's what I call a game.

Do you remember back for the PS2 when you jumped in a car, and headed north-east for the underground rail-way tunnel for a quick escape from the cops, then to shortly end up in the docks? Well it's all back in LCS, the exact, same map. Give or take the bums building a fire in the tunnel. This game also has a huge amount of missions, which could take most people a couple of months of playing every day to finish. It's great really and it gives you a lot to explore. The weapon selection is pretty awesome too, giving you back all your GTA friendly sets. And what would GTA be without Ammunation, Pay N' Spray, and the good ol' Leone crime family. During the course of the game you visit friendly, and some not so friendly, characters, such as mom, your boss, your second semi-boss, your boss's girl, a strip club owner, and on and on. I also love the cut-scenes that sum up a bit of the mission for you. Who can forget the famous wanted level system. The cops, SWAT, and army are also here in this game to comfort you. You get the return of all your favorite cars, including the PCJ-600 motorcycle, the Sanchez dirtbike, and much, much more. There are also the extremely funny ads and articles in the newspaper (manual). Plus it's got awesome multiplayer game types (but too bad no playing with people that are far away) and that big map that comes in the box to find your way around.

Overall, I would suggest Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP because it truly deserves a spot in the great GTA franchise, even on a handheld. Even if you've never played any GTA games before, get this game...you won't regret it.
