Hey guys, my girls are in Girl Scouts and they are tasked with cookie sales. I'm trying to help them a bit.

Shipping kills any sort of deal long distance but there's a free shipping promo going on!

Here's the Promotion: Between 3/20 to 3/27, the shipping is free if you order between 5-12 boxes.

Here's the link: https://DigitalCookie.GirlScouts.org/scout/colette...

Appreciate your support!

Thanks for the support guys!

I sent an email to everyone who ordered as a reminder for free shipping. It ends 5/14.

I don't think so. I think I just never liked toothpasty taste of thin mints. People swear by freezing them and eating them like that.

My favorite is still Do-si-dos.

I wanted to order but we’ve been mega tight on money. Hope the daughters met their goal! I miss lemon ups.

Man, Raspberry Rally boxes are the COVID 3090s of the cookie world. I really want to try them, but they're sold out everywhere.

Holy Shrinkflation!

These just arrived. And like I said before, its been around a decade (possibly longer) since I've bought their cookies. But what the hell. The amount you get now vs what it used to be (for the same price). Wow. These boxes are half the size, and its less than half of what used to be in the old boxes (amount of cookies). Its mostly packaging. This is crazy. Why not just increase the price? What are they doing? I'd rather have paid $10 or $12 (maybe $15 to support them) for the old boxes of cookies than this. I'll probably never support them again now. Because this feels like a rip off. And that is a shame. Because it isn't the scouts fault. Its the fault of the corporate choices made above them. This must be why I never see them going door to door anymore? I haven't even seen them selling in front of stores anymore in years either.

Yeah, you're probably right. Even though I say I would be happier paying more for the old amount. I'd probably be more upset paying $20 for a box a cookies. And I guess people are still more likely to support them by buying multiple boxes this way (more than 4 at a time). Where as if they were $20 a box people would buy one and that would be that for them. This way they can still raise more money for the scouts. As a lot of people think $5 a box, I'll take 8 or 10 or what ever. But $20 for one makes you think about it more. Even though these are technically donations, you are getting something in return. So it feels more like a purchase than a donation. And I guess I shouldn't even look at it like that. Because really its to help the girl scouts.

Indeed.

They have been increasing prices too -- just not so dramatic as the box size or quantity going down. Like, I guess they were $1.50/box in the 80s and then jumped to $3/box in the late 1990s. Then to $3.50 in 2004, $4 in 2012, $5 in 2015 -- and now they are $5-$6/box.

So, looking at it that way, they are like 4x more than they were in the 80s. 🤷‍♂️
