Usually no. But worth a shot.

A lot of people seem upset that Alabama didn't make the playoffs, but they didn't deserve to. But I will agree that it's weird not seeing them.

Those people are delusional. Bama looked like ass this year and didn't pass the eye test at all. The real tragedy is Tenn is ranked lower then them. I fully expect them to pull the Bama thing and not even show up to the bowl game. If it's not a playoff or NC they don't care. At this point I'm just waiting for the collapse of the fanbase once Saban leaves.

They did lose two away games by a total of 4 points at hardest places to win. OSU lost by over 5 x that at home in one game.

They made the wrong argument.

That's where H2H didn't matter because they looked at 1) the South Carolina beatdown on Tennessee and 2) losing Hendon Hooker to injury vs. Alabama losing 2 close games.

Logically it doesn't make sense but

12-team playoff will be nice because at least it opens the door for a team to make a late season run.

I see no point in scheduling a tough non-conference game anymore though.

Can someone explain why players are entering the transfer portal right now? Is that because they have to do it before the end of the season? Is there a window? Or are players trying to get onto other teams that are in bowl game? I don't get it.

Probably because the window is open. Also, the regular season ended and bowl games aren't that important. Also, many schools semester or quarter is ending soon, so I'm sure some student-athletes want to ensure they start the next semester/quarter on time.

It’s because no one gives a crap about bowl games except people stuck in the 80s. These games outside the playoffs are bogus now and a lot of players heading to the NFL will just forego them rather than risk injury. On the flip side might as well get your name into the portal early to start drumming up interest.

And this has nothing to do with NIL?...

Deion Sanders farewell and hello speeches were interesting... he gunning for a big time college program or NFL job... Colorado happy to be a stepping stone.

Yea his whole speech was goofy. His ass thinks he is auditioning for Remember the Titans. Like I said before, huge fish little pond. We will see if the pond is too big for him but I don’t see him getting past the Colorado job.

NIL is a big part of it. If you can make money by moving to a bigger brand name school and you have the talent, why wouldn't you capitalize on that? It's pretty much the same moving from junior college to a D1 school, just jumping from let's say Appalachian State to Missouri.

People hating on Stetson- but the mail man is really pretty damn good. Offense is too conservative and he often only plays 2-3 quarters- but cut him loose and he can play some ball.

I thought he was a better QB than Bryce Young last year and has only gotten better. With that said I wish we would look outside QBs for Heismans. For every Cam Newton or Johnny Manziel there are 5 QBs who are good because they have a solid line, great receivers, and great RBs to help carry the load.

Completely agree. Really the only positions that are considered now are typically QB and RB. It's just so much easier for people because of the counting stats.

I was thinking I'm thankful that there isn't a 8 or 12 team playoff this year, with Georgia and three half ass nobodies, but having Alabama/Clemson/Tennessee/whoever would probably be much more entertaining. More chances for Jawja to get banged up, and maybe a lesser team could go on a confidence fueled run.

Alabama would have ran straight through it I think. The only team it feels like got left out. Maybe UT that backup is legit.

That Ohio State kicker should probably find another job. It’s one thing to miss, it’s another to get it closer to the sidelines than the end zone
