I'm looking to get a new TV for our bedroom 50"
When we got married 13 years ago we upgraded from a tube TV to a Samsung HD TV 1080p. We kept It in the living room for about 7 years then upgraded to a 55" vizio 4k. The Samsung stopped working after the 8th year we had it, I replaced it with a 50" insignia 4k that only lasted 8 months it was still under warranty so I got a refund via best buy gift card.
We've had the vizo for almost 4 years now, so vizo and Samsung have done us good, I won't try insignia again someone I know has had several of them go bad within 2 years.

I'm curious about these brands if anyone has had one and how long, the 4k models

I have two Hisense TVs in my house, an old 1080p dumb TV that I've had for 10 years. It's in the guest bedroom and hasn't got a much use in the last 3 years, but it still works. I recently replaced a 6 year old Samsung KS8000 that was going bad with a Hisense U8H. It's only been 5 months, so it'll be some time before I can determine reliability.

The one thing I like about both Hisense TVs is that the speakers on them are fairly decent. Every other LCD TV I've owned have had subpar sound and really needed a soundbar or better to not be bothered by sound.

Vizio has been fantastic for us and I love that (at least for ours) all our remotes are the same and work in any room. Their speakers are crap though.

I got an Insignia for our guest bedroom. Hope with little use it lasts for a bit.

The insignia we had out of the 8 months we had it probably had less than 100 hours of use. I wondered if we just happen to get a bad one, but after someone said they had replaced 3 of theirs I don't want to try it again. They bought the extended warranty so every 2 years it went bad they got a new one. Which in a way is OK but knowing my luck it would go bad the day afte warranty. It was a hassle trying to get refunded for this one.
I read About how it can be hard to get a refund under warranty and what I read happened to me, I called Amazon, they said call insignia, they said call best buy, and circled around. After a few days I finally got an American who helped me.

Ah well, I guess you get what you pay for. This one is 40" and was like $120. I guess if I get a year out of it I'll be "ok." I've not had issues with bad TVs ever. So it's been a good run.

A neighbor gave us a 50" Hisense smart TV and I hung it up in my 9yr olds room for his birthday. I have to say it's a pretty good TV, controls are a bit sluggish, but it looks nice.

Always been a fan of LG Tvs as well as Samsung. LG has awesome free Smart TV channels.
