Looking through random Twitter predictions for tomorrow's Nintendo Direct just for craps and giggles. I saw one that I hope is true and it'd be about damn time if it does happen, because we are long overdue for a Switch version of "Nintendo Selects".

I predict $60 ports of more WiiU games.

It was showing $69.99 earlier. I checked after that post.

Gaming is about to take a much, much lower priority for me when all the games start costing $70, and it’s not even an actual priority right now.

I pay full price for very few games anyway. Still lame if $70 becomes the new standard for Nintendo games though. it will just be that much longer before games drop to a price that I'm willing to pay.

Someone please tag me if they announce TotK CE/LE/Console during the Direct.

Stores have been taking pre-orders at $59.99 for a week now. That'd be interesting.

TotK is suddenly unavailable at the major retailers. Glad Amazon has that lowest price guarantee. Of course, I'd be trying to get the collector's edition if one is announced.

Well, both MP4 and TotK went up, and were taken down yesterday ... some bad communication happening with Nintendo.

Just feels like we may get the announcement today. Tons of meetings at work, so gonna do my best to keep an eye on things and be ready!

edit: oh, nevermind, it's at 5pm EST, may be able to watch some of it live

Oh! I didn’t know about the price hike. I’m not totally surprised (or even think it’s necessarily unfair given how much it takes to make a AAA game, but I doubt I’d pay $70 + tax for a game with last gen tech.
