Topic The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.

Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.

Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?

I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.

Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.

I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.

Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

I just bought digital as my Walmart order has not shipped yet. Was waffling on keeping the Walmart copy so my kid's have their own they can play.

Is the Japan one come with the spoon? I'd be all over that if I could get a US copy stateside with it.

I decided I'd go out of my way to go to a midnight release of the game. Not practical, but I figured I'd do it for this one.

Anyway, my local GameStop, which was supposed to have a midnight release according to an employee, isn't doing it because they didn't get enough pre-orders. Eh. It's bittersweet. On the one hand, now I don't have to sleep less. But on the other hand, I would have wanted to experience the game event and get the game early. Oh well, guess I'm not getting the game at midnight.

I tried finding it, but couldn't find a listing that had both the spoon and fork. Can you post a link? I'm tempted. I like the idea of eating with those :)

It was already kind of tempting, but for just the spoon I wasn't going to go for it. Spoon and fork? Yes please.

All this for Legend of Zelda cutlery 😅

Oh I'll regret it once I look at my credit card statement.... Yeahhhhh I bought ANOTHER copy of a game for a f'ing spoon and fork to throw on a stupid shelf that only I care about. It's a problem.

Glad you were able to get it! It wasn't listed as an option in the listing. You had to see the contents of a bundle with BotW to get to the listing. I just found it today.

Nothing else, they couldn’t even sell anything else other than Zelda and Zelda accessories, this guy was so excited to find a used copy of metroid prime that they couldn’t sell him but they were able to hold it for him. They had zelda cupcakes and a little boy cosplayed as how Link looks in this game complete with the arm sleeve

Played about 2 hours so far. Takes more getting used to and not as clear as BotW was for me. Still not 100% how to use the constructs. Fallen to my death a few times trying different things. Just about wrapped up the training area.

FYI - The intro had a moment that was not young child friendly. May want to play through it before handing it over to a 7 year old unless they are accustom to scary things.

Woke up extra early to be at Target at 8AM to try to get the adventurers pack. I figured if I'm buying the game anyway, why not get an extra bonus item. The employee said he couldn't find them. So I went back several hours later. Different employee said that they didn't get the adventurers packs. Maybe not every Target had them?
