Release date for the game is just a week away. :)

Really looking forward to this one. I can use a good game to really get into.

So my buddy just texted me, his normal non-modded Switch just let him play his pre-loaded digital TotK. Check yours. If yall are able I may just go N voucher and d/l it.

Yah, big time fudge Gamestop. My pre-order was paid using Paypal Pay-in-4, got all paid off last month, and I just received an email telling me my payment didn't go through. And it apparently wasn't even because of the price increase, they "just have this problem with Paypal" according to the contact person I just spoke with. I ordered it as a guest and now I have to create an account and enter the order information, at which point they'll reject my paypal order (and HOPEFULLY refund it, who knows) and have me order it again, which I just can't do right now as money's tight and paypal refunds take a few days.

So guess I'll be joining yall in like 2 weeks. Very cool!

That sucks man. I pretty much only use GS as a last resort.

GameStop has a special list of games old and recent releases, find 2 and trade them in for an instant $50 toward Zelda

Update: Gamestop straight up lied about my payment going through. I spoke with Paypal over the phone and they let me know the payment 100% went through and Gamestop declined that it did. I imagine this is because of the price increase, because I ordered via GS the day the increase was announced. The people I spoke with on the phone via Gamestop told me the payment wasn't authorized by Paypal (it was) and that I'd need to log into my account to enter my credit card information in order to complete the order (and reach that $70 mark, apparently). I initially did that, but then decided to just cancel the order. They're not getting my business from here on.

Now I filed a dispute with Gamestop via Paypal and hopefully EVENTUALLY I get my money back, but it probably won't be any time soon. Thankfully the lady I just bought an expensive engagement ring for said she'd snag the game for me on Friday on her way home from work. Proposed in the nick of time to get my Zelda, damnit.

All in all, Gamestop is a piece of crap company and I'll literally never be dealing with them again. But all is good otherwise.

So she gets a ring worth 1000s and you get a $70 video game. Sounds fair.

I used to joke with my (now) wife that an engagement ring costs as much as a really nice DW drum kit (I'm a drummer). I told her I would get her an engagement ring, but she needed to get me an engagement drum set. We've been married for nearly 18 years. I still never got my DW set.

If I wanted a copy of Tears of the Kingdom before 10am on Friday, do I have any options? I'm handing down my Switch to my little sister as a graduation present, and the only way I'm getting off the plane with it in hand is to get it Friday morning.

Amazon doesn't usually deliver until the evening near me, and Best Buy opens at 10.

Some GameStops are doing a midnight release.

My digital copy was automatically downloaded and the icon is just sitting there, taunting me that I can't play until Friday. Surprisingly, the game is 16.2gb, smaller than Super Smash Bros. (17.2GB) and way smaller than Immortals Fenyx Rising (25.7GB)

When are reviews going to start rolling in? The game comes out in 2 days, I thought reviews were usually available this close to a game's release.

I'm hoping to see a ton of 10/10's, and "greatest game of all time" comments, similar to when the reviews dropped for Breath of the Wild.

Do games like this usually sell out in-store super quick? I'm worried that we won't be able to get our hands on one Friday afternoon/evening. Planning to go to Target to pick it up, probably around 6ish on Friday.

Given how many OLED systems they made, I would guess there will be enough copies of the game floating around for you to get one that day.

Scott I still remember I think it was one of the Castlevania DS games that had a bonus at Gamestop/EB Games that people were crazy for. I think it was about 15 years ago and seemed a lot people were selling. I believe I sold mine on here just to recoup a little of the games cost. It was big in the post here and I'm sure EBay had a lot of them. Kinda curious what those sell for now. Not sure its worth anything but I still have those stickers or whatever they gave away as the bonus at Gamestop for the 3DS Castlevania game.

Also saw at Wal-Mart yesterday that they had 3 spaces for the new Zelda at $69 each. At least its a dollar cheaper.
