Q1 N's fiscal year? (Apr-Jun '24) That would line up with the Switch release, right?
If it's Q1 calendar year that seems like bad timing for the states. Missed the holiday season, taxes coming due, refunds not yet issued.

Dang that was so long ago. What an amazing time though. The switch at launch was everything I had wanted in a console as a kid

13-Jul-2023(#245)Double Dragon Month! Anyone picked it up Digital? I usually double dip PS5 n Switch but just physical this time.

I still remember going to the midnight launch at Best Buy, it was a great time! Got my Switch and went straight home to play Breath of the Wild all night.

The Switch is the only console I can play as an adult. It'd be impossible to get 10% of the hours on a traditional console compared to Switch. It's so easy to get bonus time with Switch.

13-Jul-2023(#250)I pre-ordered a Switch once announced. I ended up canceling the preorder as I had no hype for the system itself, and the only game at launch I wanted to play I could play on Wii U the same day. It's actually grown to be my second favorite system.

Oh, I had a "vacation" from hell where I was stuck at night sleeping in a tiny room on a tiny bed, could not make much noise or turn on a TV else wake my kids, and averaged 2.5 hours of sleep per 24 hours. The Switch was a godsend. Made a big dent in TotK.

* 14-Jul-2023(#252)I did buy my Switch until late 2018, more than a year and a half after it was released. I wasn't in a rush to buy one. I don't think I was following the initial release either. It was a great purchase. For someone who primarily games handheld anyway, the Switch was an obvious choice. To have a home console that's a hybrid? Yes please.

14-Jul-2023(#253)I use my Steam Deck to remote play my PS5/XsX. So I can still play them and not deal with the big TV.

I've got to do something like this some day. I'd probably play my PS5/XSX more if I did. As it's a bit of a wait to get the projector and receiver system booted up.

These may have been the best Tour tracks yet. Were there 2 new tracks? I thought it was just 1.

OT2 is what I plan to fall back on whenever I finish Pikmin 4. I was getting a little bored just collecting new characters and doing their tutorial-style first chapters so I took a break but now I’ve got that “traditional JRPG” itch back.

22-Jul-2023(#265)I've been mostly playing Paper Mario. Just started Chapter 6. I'll wait for the Pikmin 1+2 physical release and try to play the entire series from the beginning. I liked the Pikmin 4 demo.

He might be looking for a first print run, which apparently sell for over $250 according to this thread.

I am. I'm loving it, although I'm going really slow. I wasn't entirely sold on the demo, especially some of the changes. It is a little on the east side, but the challenge in Pikmin has always been to go as fast as you can and lose the least amount of Pikmin possible. The difficulty is completely up to you. Plus, getting platinums in Dandori challenges is going to be really hard.

And now I'm reminded of why I left eBay... lol
1 hour of browsing listings, multiple bids, 0 wins. One item ended nearly double what it should have been. I suspect shenanigans by the seller.

* 28-Jul-2023(#280)Today, I managed to do something I've never had happen with these apps before. I got up to the second dungeon of Seasons yesterday, and when I went to load the save data I somehow managed to overwrite it instead. It won't take long to get back there, but still annoying that I did that, lol.
Uhh, I guess I should remember to save in game after every play session. (In case my dumb self does this again.) Looks like I only saved after I got the sword.

Ah, that's bittersweet. Would have liked remakes of those.
Still cool though to see them being brought back.
