I was shocked to see this. No way anyone pays for this stuff?! They certainly do. They likely will.

I meant with my ps5 on a wifi and not hard wired. I cannot get a solid experience without my home ps5 hardwired. Even with the best wifi signals.
I have used it with cellular on my phone- it was pretty bad.

I highly doubt it. All the dualsense's have terrible battery. It's an amazing controller otherwise, might be my overall favorite, dethroning the 360/switch pro/xbox elite v1 for me.

I hope so! If it was something coming soon wouldn’t they have filed it earlier?

Yeah definitely. $200 is a bit steep, but with how well its built, the ability to have no stick drift, all the dualsense features, etc, I'd say it's worth it, but it'd be nice to grab it for a $150ish range for sure.

Don't have a VR2 (yet), but would love a new game by them. Selfishly, I hope it's full fledged platformer instead of a VR game, but would be amazing if 2 games came out.

30-Aug-2023(#177)I'm not gonna bother renewing my PS Plus or Gamepass once it expires. I don't think they're worth it. Almost never use them

30-Aug-2023(#178)Yikes. I feel really lucky that I took advantage of that window when you could convert all of your years of regular PS+ to premium with a month of PS Now when they first made the switch. I've got PS+ premium until April 2029.

30-Aug-2023(#183)I'm glad I stacked like 5 years when the first conversion happened but I'd never renew at those prices that's crazy

I don't think it's randomness. I think they specifically dangle quality releases every so often to boost subs, then go back to the lesser releases for a few months until a significant number start to lapse, then put out a few more good ones, etc.

That's a great idea. Sell an asset to rent. Maybe I'll do that with my house too!

31-Aug-2023(#197)I'd just done a one month premium sub to see what the classics collection was about. Looks like I can safely uninstall that stuff and cancel the sub...

I agree, There is still a lot of value in PS Plus and it's varying tiers.
My take:
I think as gamers we have had it pretty easy and I seem to think gamers have this opinion that inflation should not affect us. Well it does. The cost of running these server farms has gone up from rent and taxes assuming they rent... but one thing for sure is the cost of power to run these vast farms has also gone up. I am sure there are other costs that have been impacted by inflation. It sucks but these costs get passed down. Why people think Sony, MS and Nintendo are our friends I have no bloody clue. They are out to make money and it's that simple. They have share holders to appease... that's business! you don't have to like it, but that is the way it is. Prices going up 20 bux a year is nothing for the value you get. You can call it greed, but IMO that's just the entitlement speaking IMO. If you don't want to pay it then don't. Gaming is a privilege not a right. that maybe a hardnose take that will ruffle feathers but that's the cold hard truth as I see it. PS+ and GP are still very much great values, even with both seeing price increases over the last couple months.
