Mostly racing game content, makes unique and often silly metagames within said racing games. Examples include: races in GTA 5 where some players are racing and others are shooting the "boopy gun" at them to flip their cars; Races in BeamNG drive against rising water levels and other players, themed in Forza Horizon where everyone has certain restrictions on their cars, etc.

It's not politics. It's literally Fox News's strategy, which is what benstylus was pointing out, and they've admitted it on multiple occasions, including their recent legal scuffles.

It’s politics.

Fox News represents itself as a neutral news organization that is “fair and balanced,” so criticizing it for focusing on stories intended to draw viewership through appeals to outrage is not inherently political unless they’re lying and their agenda itself is inherently political.

I see it took you a paragraph to explain why bashing Fox News is definitely *not* political lol. Is this real? Give it a rest people. It’s political - durk durk

You’re missing the point. I’m agreeing that criticism of Fox News has become political but only because Fox News is not actually trying to be a fair and balanced source of information. It found a niche selling political propaganda that invites an emotional reaction. For that reason alone, critiques of what they do have a political angle to them. If you don’t think Fox is selling outrage, then I’m curious what you think they are doing. There are multiple peer-reviewed studies that evidence how Fox News viewers are less informed across the board than other Americans.

In any case, for someone who supposedly is not a Fox News supporter and just wants politics to not be discussed, it seems odd that you keep following up about it. Your choice to continue responding is actually bringing in more political discussion :). You could just take your own advice and give it a rest.

Fox News was picked because (a) they do manufacture outrage (though they dont have a monopoly on that), and (b) they fit the rhyme.

Is there another outlet that fits the rhyme?

Outrage brings views
Just ask ________

The couplet is four stressed syllables per line, so your news outlet of choice needs to be two stressed syllables to fit. And it needs to rhyme with views.

I don’t care to discuss Fox News because… this is a video game site, and that’s obviously a *political* topic… which you were oddly refuting but now seem to have backed off on. Good for you for changing that obviously wrong assertion.

Lol. What mental gymnastics did you go through to come to that conclusion? I initially said this:

"Fox News represents itself as a neutral news organization that is “fair and balanced,” so criticizing it for focusing on stories intended to draw viewership through appeals to outrage is not inherently political unless they’re lying and their agenda itself is inherently political."

Once again, I said that criticizing Fox for focusing on stoking outrage is not inherently political UNLESS they're lying and their agenda itself is inherently political. I thought my implication was pretty clear: they're lying and their agenda itself is inherently political, so criticism of them takes on a political connotation.

You then incorrectly claimed that "it took [me] a paragraph to explain why bashing Fox News is definitely *not* political." It's cool. You misread, but no big deal. That's why my next response started with "You're missing the point."

I proceeded to elaborate on my previous comment, clarifying that I did see criticism of Fox as political for the specific reason that it isn't a neutral news organization but, rather, a political propaganda outlet. You can't really criticize a political propaganda outlet in a way that isn't at all political.

I'm going to come back to something else I pointed out earlier. If you can't handle talk that has any political implications, then you can simply not engage in it. It's really not that hard. The fact that you can't handle other people doing so is kind of a you problem.

Bruh… take the hint… I’m really not interested in debate club with you. I didn’t even really read what you said. The comments sections on Facebook or any news outlet website seems like where you’d find some friends to play with.

I just wanted to comment about @benstylus injecting *political* commentary because I find it obnoxious. Mission accomplished.

Lol. You misrepresented what I was saying, so I explained where you were incorrect. Rather than admit to your mistake, you pretended like you didn't really read it and then told me to take a hint because you didn't want to debate. (Seems like you were pretty interested in debating when you thought you had a "gotcha" moment because you didn't read carefully =). You're free to take the ball and go home. No one is forcing you to respond. Everyone is very aware that you can't handle politics being discussed in your vicinity, which, as I've already said, is a you problem.

I stopped reading what you were saying several monologues ago. lol Who are you even debating with? Give it a rest.

This is pretty amusing at this point. The irony is apparently lost on you that you continue (over and over) telling me how much you don't care about and don't want to engage in this conversation yet can't seem to stop yourself.

I'm not sure how me making a comment and you misunderstanding it and then being incapable of admitting that counts as a "debate," but OK. We're really not debating anything. (I even agreed with your initial premise that criticizing Fox was political. I just fleshed out why I thought that, and, apparently, the criticism I included in that explanation has gotten under your skin for some reason.) You've chosen an odd hill to die on.

It was LITERARY commentary.

Find me another source that fits the rhyming couplet and I will be happy to update my post.

I think out of all the ones I’ve watched SNES Drunk is my favorite, typically spot on and fairly brief. Contrary to the name, he also does Genesis and maybe some other stuff.

Challenge accepted, but in short-form poetry form!

Go woke and go broke
Thus CNN is a joke
Not political!

One more:

I don’t like Fox News
Though the others hate the jews
All driving to cliff

Ok ok, sorry, but one more without a rhyming scheme:

Politics not fun
But I like a good challenge!
Oh no, now I’m sad..

I think the last post made me sad....

I like MGB, but I can never watch his live streams because they are during the day.

Mystic is another, I just like his overall tone. Mellow, easy to listen to.

I also don't mind Spawn Wave. I like the Spawncast or what ever he calls his pod cast where others join in.

You want balanced and fair
I'd suggest Al-Jazeera.
But I'm afraid that'd just go
In one then out the other ear-a.

I only watch Angry Video Game Nerd and Angry Joe Show. Bing watching AVGN is a good idea if you're having a bad day and bored.

SilokHawk is pretty cool. He’s highly analytical when reviewing/discussing Nintendo and Jackbox games, and has a decent sense of humor as well. He can be extraordinarily nitpicky sometimes, but that comes with the territory.

I recently found this guy's channel, he replays older games from his childhood and shows all/most of the cutscenes as he gives commentary on the game and his overall opinion. He'd clearly spoil a game's story if you haven't played it, and it's not a moment to moment let's play, but I watched a few on games I've beat and it was interesting to hear his take and some amusing comments.

Also, all MSM is just propaganda anymore, I get my news from carrier pigeons and smoke signals. wry smile

I find carrier pigeons to biased and smoke signals views change like the wind.

I used to think it was odd watching someone play a game... Now I find it oddly relaxing.. will give this one a look see.

The Sphere Hunter does in-depth reviews of games I've never played (and also RE4). I recommend her videos.

I have to give a shout out to a friend of mine, DoshDoshington. About half of his videos are about Factorio, and then the other half are in depth looks at obscure/complicated/insane games that he likes.

Really high quality videos and the dude is an absolute Big Brain so if you like hearing smart people talk I'd definitely recommend it.

So I just found out about YouTube's auto-translate subtitle feature. It's not perfect but it makes the video much easier to understand and I now rate this channel amongst the top videogame YouTube channels ever.

There is an interwoven story between the videos too. (The three of episodes about saving Edward's friend from the game boy cult and reviving their friendship were especially awesome)

Another channel I like (but had kinda forgotten about because prior to last week he hadn't uploaded anything since early last year) is Glenn Plant. He focuses exclusively on Nintendo64 games and he is one of those guys where you can trust his opinion, he knows what he's talking about. While not a big deal at all, I like that he captures his footage using actual N64 hardware instead of an emulator.
