THEN tune into the WWE Royal Rumble on SATURDAY, January 27th to see the big match! Your Royal Rumble entry will correspond with the number your name appears on the list. Whichever wrestler is in that spot is your official avatar for the Royal Rumble game. I will try to be online the night of the Rumble to give real-time results and announcements concerning entries and eliminations.

WELP been super distracted by moving apartments (which is coincidentally happening this Saturday, on the day of the Rumble) that I forgot all about the annual GTZ Royal Rumble match.
BUT there's still time to join in. Just post here in the thread if you're in and you're in!
If I don't get a full 30 (which is more and more likely every year), I'll be filling in the empty spots with folks who participated previously (assuming that enough active members actually enter).
Welp odds are I’m just gonna whip you in there if we don’t get to 30 because you’re a past participant who actually likes wrestling. Not sure the reason to pass if ya dig the Rumble. There’s no prize and you have to do a literal nothing to participate haha

Yes indeed. I added past participants when we didn't hit 30 users, and 2 folks who barely post here anymore won. So I gave the runner-ups the official wins instead.
So instead of giving past participants any remaining spaces, if we don't fill this thing up, I'll now be going by the "first come first served" rule and just re-add the folks who already joined. So say we get 29 people with one spot left, that spot will be a second entry for Kommie because he was the first to sign up. Then I'll just continue on down the line until it's full depending on how many spots are left on Saturday. This will offer the early birds two chances to win.
If we somehow get stuck at the 15 we have now, we'll all just get a second entry to fill the remaining spots. That's the only scenario where I'll give myself an extra entry just to keep it all even.

They better. I mean, you could make a case that it wasn’t quite time last year since Cody came back from injury and won the Rumble from the #30 spot. Also that last Cody/Brock match ruled. This year, though… has to happen. Cody beats Roman at Night 2 of Mania.
Thanks for playing along again GTZ. Next year will be a full decade of these Rumbles. I’ll try not to be so distracted and last minute on the whole thing.
I know there's memes about Curtis Axel never being eliminated in the 2015 Royal Rumble. However WWE recently put up the 1994 Royal Rumble match on YouTube and in it I was reminded that at the 38 minute mark was supposed to be Bastion Booger, but he never appears because they want you to think it was Bret Hart and he was too hurt to compete. Bastion Booger technically hasn't been eliminated for 30 years.
