Growing up my parents didn't listen to alot of music but my mom had three groups she liked and listened to often; Air Supply, Phil Collins, and Elton John. Air Supply and Phil Collins didn't stick for me but Elton John did. My biggest concert regret is never seeing him live before he retired. It's always been a running joke amongst my family and friends about how I am deep into extreme metal but have this love for Elton John's music.
If you enjoy him I highly recommend Live from Moscow, 1979. Just him and his piano (occasionally joined by a session drummer), one of the best live albums ever.
