Lots of really good games - some systems didnt come with cables - some have non official.

Better to buy official cables or buy a converter box?

If converter boxes or cables - any suggestions?

The Genesis is a model 2 with the 32X already installed - looks like I need multiple power cords and an adapter cable as well?

Or maybe its easier to sell everything as-is?

If you sell as-is, clean the cart contacts first. q-tips and isopropyl alcohol.

Went ahead and knocked that out first - I have cables to the SNES - They do not work on a newer TV - but work fine on a CRT - weird.

I am thinking about buying a converter.

I bought some 2nd part cables for the genesis and 32x to test out.

Some newer tvs don't accept 240p signals apparently so I'd guess that's what you ran into with the SNES. If you are just looking to sell I wouldn't bother with a converter/scaler. Third party cables are generally fine too, as long as it's not super cheap falls apart in your hand China stuff. I'd be interested in some of the SNES stuff if you are selling.

If you were looking to play it depends what tv you want to play on etc

I need to get some pictures.

I was using pricecharting - is that still the best place to check values? I havent actually sold any vintage games in a while.

The most valuable game appears to be a 32x game: Knuckles Chaotix 32x

It's good enough for loose games generally. If you have any CIB stuff, it's best to check ebay for comparable condition sold listings.

You can get cheap converters for testing on modern tvs on Temu. Like dirt cheap. I got an hdmi converter for the Wii/wiiU and it was like 3.50. Same thing for the older consoles. Only one that’s like $10 bucks is the n64 for some reason.

Finally have everything tested - should have some solid pics and values this weekend.

32X brings back some memories!
