I found an Innovative Technologies ITNS-500 slide/film negative scanner at Goodwill last year. Looking at the information, it looks like it is more of a camera that takes a picture of the image rather than "scanning" the image. I downloaded the software and driver, but when I try to use it I get the message "Camera not found". When I open Windows Camera, I see the image from the slide and can take a picture. However, the device specific software has options for adjusting the image before taking the picture which I'm sure would result in a much better quality image. I also don't think I can get an image from a film negative without the device specific software.
According to what I can find on the internet, IT stopped providing drivers after Windows 7 when when they sold out to another company. One person said he got the device to work under Windows 10 by uninstalling the camera and letting Windows 10 find and reinstall it. This didn't work for me. I think he might have been seeing the device in Windows Camera like I can.
Any suggestions?
