How are you using your scraps
Trying to use all my food scraps to reduce waste. Composting isn't something I am interested in since I can get free mulch and soil from the county.
Right now I am freezing a bag of items until full.

Vegetables scraps make
Vegetable broth just boil in water use salt in said recipe don't add when making said broth, use strainer to remove said scraps. You can milk said scraps but I just toss them.
Dehydrate and blend to fine powder for onions and garlic.

Fruits
Tea boil said fruit scrapes
Fine powder if they are citrus: lemon salt is a great addition to food

Meat
Animal Fat by rendering fat from trimmings
Fine powder can be interesting but doesn't taste great honestly unsure what to do with them besides making ground meat.

Figured cardboard, glass and plastic are for recycling.

Fruits and Vegetables get composted or buried directly into the garden depending on the season.

Meat scraps go into the trash. BUT you can save the bones to make a broth if you store them correctly.

@ued222 Generally, compost is more like fertilizer rather than soil. You add it to the soil, you don't use it as soil. So you might benefit from composting even if you get free soil from the city, as you can add the compost to the soil to make it better. Soil requires a fair amount of work to maintain over the years and composting really helps with that process.

Fruits and vegetables I put directly on the grass/soil.

Bread, sometimes to the birds.

When it comes to meat/chicken scraps, sometimes I'll put it out for hungry cats.

Something I've been seeing pop up on my facebook for awhile that seems interesting and might be informational... the content creator is called "creative explained"

He's got videos on how to recycle certain foods you're likely to throw out that are mostly to help with growing your own vegetables/fruits/etc.
