I found that if I'm not sitting in a chair, and I'm lying down, my preference is to hold a handheld console or phone and lean to the side on either elbow. But if I do this for a long period of time it hurts the shoulder that I'm leaning into (makes sense I think). But it's the most comfortable position for me. But not worth the discomfort.

Not comfortable to lie on my back and hold a console up in the air.

Sitting is an alternative. But not always the most comfortable.

How do you game or use your phone/tablet? Sitting? Lying down? Standing?

I have ocd and have a ritual when I often use when I first pick up my phone which is to play 2-3 practice rounds of Quordle. (it's funny bc for a while I did not know practice existed. It's literally the same as the daily except you can play as many times as you want)

Aside from that, it really depends on what device I'm using and where. I often used my Switch Lite lying back on my bed which is wild bc I've never done that w another device as far as I can remember. Somehow it works, but late at night I worry I'd fall asleep while using it and consequently smush the Switch lite into my face, but to date that has never happened. xD

laughing out loud

It isn't comfortable to hold the switch lite up in the air while lying on your back?

I'm fine laying down on my back holding a phone, but if I'm gaming, I have to be sitting up. There's no laying down position that's comfortable for me to game in.

I make sure I'm sitting somewhere comfortable for long period because when I play video games, I play for hours until I fall asleep or finish the game.

Currently I have this gaming chair I bought from Staples a co-worker at my old job recommended. For a $100 chair, it was worth it. I don't just sit in it to game, I also sit in it while binge watching tv series or movies.

Staples Emerge Vortex Bonded Leather Gaming Chair, Black and White (55172)
It's priced at $270 right now and showing as out of stock, but when I bought it, I got it for $100. I'll admit it was a bit of a pain in the ass to put together though....

Thanks for the details.

I occasionally consider getting a chair that's more comfortable than my current one. Is it worth the expense? Some purchases are totally worth every cent, but some aren't. How much more comfortable is your chair than let's say sitting on a couch?

Best I can say is that it's comfortable enough for me I've probably sat in it for 8-10 hours in one sitting and even have slept in it a few times unintentionally.

I just saw while the black and white one is at $270, the other colors are at $120 right now and in stock. My co-worker friend has the blue one.

For me, yes I'd say it is worth the $200 price tag even though I got it for $100 at the time and it's always nice to get something cheaper than regular price tag.

On the toilet, I bend over until my face is upside down and I play games under the bowl. That way I'm smelling porcelain and not my own crap.
