The only good thing that came out of getting rid of GCU is the free shipping for everyone.

None seem like a very good deal, I wonder if anyone is really going for them.

I didn't see any actual details, just access to discounts, free shipping etc. How can anyone decide if it's a good deal without knowing the actual discounts being offered?

There's apparently a B2G1 on select Switch games (including some pre-orders) that's live now if you have the $50 membership. I'm assuming they'll have more member plus-exclusive sales like that, but it's not enough for me to go for it currently.

Nice to see B2G1 free is currently offering most (all?) major 1st party releases including preorders. Pikmin 4, Mario Wonder, etc.

For the record, I don't see much value in most subscription services. As much as everyone loves Amazon Prime, I find it extremely predatory like most other subscription services where the goal is to get you signed up with some promotion, put you on autopay, then do the absolute minimum to hope you don't put forth the effort to actually cancel.

Don't pay a company to make it more likely that you feel obligated to shop with them.

For what it's worth, they also got rid of rewards points unless you use a BB credit card. Super lame. >_<

You can use a BB credit card anywhere..... not restricted to BB.

What I meant was that you can no longer earn BB rewards points unless you have a BB credit card.

Well, they're locking some of their Black Friday in July sales behind these memberships.

B2G1 on Switch games. Includes prebuy on Mario Wonder, Mario RPG, Sonic Superstars.

Was adding them to cart, then realized I didn't the paid membership. Nope.

Kinda sad when buy 2 get 1 on Switch games is considered a great deal.

This is the second deal for Switch games now? I wish they'd do something for PS5 games, for the most part other than a few exceptions I'm kinda ready to phase out Switch purchases.
