Topic What's this bad trade about?

I have a pending trade with 'Meganesman' and received a message that he was just reported as a Bad Trader.

When I clicked on the link to the bad trader report, it does not exist, ID 6922.

Does anybody know what exactly this is about? Thanks.

Must have been deleted. Hard to imagine MegaNESMan scamming someone.

Yes, it was filed when MegaNesMan ordered SNES games and had them sent to another user. Apparently unbeknownst to MNM, they turned out to be pirated repros instead of originals.

My understanding is the other user immediately filed a BTR, but as soon as MNM found out what happened he refunded the guy and the BTR got resolved. Bill expunged it because it was resolved so fast and the other user kind of jumped the gun on filing it without letting MNM resolve the issue before he filed it. (A BTR is supposed to be like a last resort, not the first action you take when a trade goes south)

MegaNesMan got a BTR from RockoMan December 26, 2023 at 5:01pm (EST)
By 5:30pm MegaNESMan had resolved the BTR (by refunding RockoMan).
Given how quickly the BTR was filed and resolved, it seemed best for me to expunge the BTR.
Expunged BTRs do no exist. Thus, you got notified because you have a pending with MegaNesMan, but by the time you clicked on the BTR link, it was expunged.
