27-Jan(#3)If you have a computer currently running Windows 10 or 11 that wasn't upgraded for free from Windows 7, download Magical Jellybean Keyfinder. It will find the Windows Authorization Key that was used to activate Windows on your computer. Most of these keys can be used to activate more than one copy of Windows. I keep copies of every Windows Key I find on systems I work on. Whenever I need a key for a particular OS, I go back to this list.

* 27-Jan(#4)If you're repairing an old computer that had Windows 10 or 11 on it, you might not even need a key. Anything that was activated online will still work, so you can just install an OS and not have to worry about that.
My current computer motherboard + cpu was given to me by a friend, and it 11 activated without issues.
