For those of you with Comixology accounts: Amazon is selling many DC and Marvel trade paperbacks for only $1.99. Many of the first volumes of Marvel's Masterpiece series are only $0.99.

oh.. that is a LOT of comics on sale. I wish there was a way to search by character/franchise (e.g. Superman, TMNT) but there doesn't seem to be a way? So I'm currently going through all the DC by alphabetical.

on sale:
Batman/TMNT vols 1-3 looks excellent
Batman/Superman (and Superman/Batman.. confusing much?)
All Star Superman on sale, neat
Blackhawks vol 1
various Super Sons
DCeased Dead Planet
Elseworlds Superman
Flashpoint complete series on sale
Future State
Gotham Academy what is this??
Injustice - like, all of it. and wow there are a lot.
Superboy (New 52)
Superman Action Comics (New 52)
Superman (New 52)
Superman Grounded

on sale and free with unlimited:
Ex Machina (all but book 5 are free with Kindle Unlimited)
Justice Society of America
Nightwing
Red Hood and the Outlaws (I actually owned book 1 of this once)
Y: The Last Man, like, all of it

EDIT: The sale applies to Google Play Books as well. This is great news for me bc I vastly prefer Play Books over Kindle.
1.99 Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1.99 Red Hood & The Outlaws (2011)
1.99 Teen Titans (2011)
and so forth!

okay I bought a bunch of comics (edit: just five to be exact) and MY CARD WAS DECLINED. On a measly 2.99 purchase. My bank sent me a text asking if it was me and I had to respond yes or no.

"Thank you for letting us know. We are processing your response."
then
"Thanks for verifying this transaction. You can continue to use your card."

I can continue to use my card wow! After buying comics even! A whopping five comics! I'm so gosh darn lucky.

This is really gross. I don't even feel like reading the comics I bought anymore.

P.S. There ought to be a way to add to cart so you can buy multiple comics at once. Not only is this less likely to trigger your card being declined, due to making back to back purchases, it would let me gauge how much I'm spending in total, and lets me remove comics from my cart accordingly if I think I'm buying too many.

P.P.S. I think I now understand why people were complaining about the Switch eshop's lack of this.

EDIT: I was actually able to get a refund on all five of the comics I bought, so that's nice.

Put credit on your Amazon gift card balance. Then use that to buy books. It makes your credit card statement less of a mess, and won't trigger this kind of security thing.

Also, note that this is not Amazon's fault. This is your credit card being cautious with suspicious-looking transactions. If someone had been using your card to stock up on comics, you'd be happy they stopped it.

It was Google Play. I'd try your method if I was able to do it online. I currently don't have a gift card for Google. (nor do I for Amazon)

Just add some money to your "wallet" on either site, and then spend from that.

On Amazon, go to your Account page, then gift card balance, and there is a button to "reload your balance".

On Google Play, they don't seem to have a reload button, but you could always buy a virtual gift card at some place like Amazon, or tie it to your PayPal, and fund it from there.
