What games do you like to play when you are drunk? My usual go-to is Mario Kart, but I was wondering what games you like to play when you've had quite a few. I'm currently playing Eastward, which I am enjoying. It's not too much too wrap my head around, nor does it require precision like some games do.
Historically basically until I was 30 I was terrible at video games. When I jumped back in as an adult I realized it was just a matter of trying and I’m decent now. But once I have any booze in me its like I’m a uncoordinated 9 year old all over again. Contra on the NES is my go to and at one time Maybe 5/6 years ago I could beat the game twice on never burning my original lives (no konami code, no continues) and now I can pretty much beat it any time with a full set of continues (no code) but when I come home drunk sometimes I’ll fire it up on my switch and I get absolutely slaughtered. Way back in the day I remember having fun playing games like nba street, nfl blitz or nhl hitz drunk and still had a lot of fun. I would imagine the blitzkrieg of those games is fun under any circumstance.
I'm gonna get a lot of sh*t for this but I LOVE to play Fortnite on my switch when I'm drunk. I'll eat some food and grab my pro controller and hook up the switch to the controller attachment and lay in bed and play a few games. I usually pass out mid match at some point. Good times. Fall Guys is fun too when you're drunk. I play neither of these game sober..LOL
Anything that does not involve following a plot or objectives. So Forza Horizon series for me. One time I played Shadow of the Tomb Raider while very drunk, and I guess I made a lot of progress. The next time I played it, I had absolutely no fudging clue where I was, how I got there, or what I was supposed to be doing hahah.
My wife and I have been playing Borderlands 2. We're terrible at driving the vehicles, always crashing into things and falling off ledges. The other night while under the influence, I drove flawlessly. DUI FTW We had a good laugh about it.
I definitely notice a difference in my gaming performance when I've taken my stimulants vs. when they've worn off. When they've worn off, I'm more button-mashy. I don't drink, but I've thought Hohokum would be a good game to play when under the influence - it's kinda trippy. Donut County is amusing - a little on the boring side, so maybe it would be more entertaining when not sober.
Lately it's been NHL 22 or Vampire Survivors for me. Easy enough to halfassedly play while drunk and not miss out on story details or worry about screwing anything up.
