Binding of Isaac. &

This is like our Pac-Man… as a family we’ve put 1000’s of hours into this game. Beat it numerous, numerous times. It just gets better and better the more time you beat it; the more you unlock.

Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance and OG. Just loved the more cramp spaces and collecting all those dog tags across every difficulty. European Extreme was a rough time with the Olga fight which was oddly even harder than the later bosses with Raiden. Not being able to shoot out the glass made it close to impossible for me.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles, probably replayed it 10 times and loved it. Found it better then Mania minus the circus area with the drum. It took me a while to learn to move up and down to get past it.

Starcraft 2 and 1 so many hours playing custom maps and regular games. Probably the only game I loved growing up.

Besides that, Warcraft 3 and Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner there isn't much I played over and over again and just loved. I do love survival horror games and immersive sims but can rarely stand replaying them. Most other games I consider a one and done or beat once and trade it in.

Fallout 3 - I played it being a "good" guy, then again as a "bad" guy (partly to get all the trophies, but I was really into it too). Then, I played again, just wandering, avoiding quests and people. Also, DLC. Probably played too much, haven't loved a Bethesda game as much since.

Demon's Souls - Well, it was hard so it took a while, but that motivated me to finally beat it. Then NG+ and NG+ + ... world tendency stuff was tricky, took a while, but I loved it. Getting the last trophy was a grind. Then, I replayed it more with different characters later. And, I'm planning to play the remake, maybe in a few months (I'm kind of burned out on souls-likes, but have had years to recover on this, my favorite).

Slay the Spire - 100s of hours, still play some, it never gets old. I have it on 3 systems now. I'm not a great player, but decent.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon - A modern variant of Rogue, which I've been playing variants of all the way back to the early 80s. This one is I finally understand well enough to win about half the time. It's not in ASCII! Games take a few hours and a lot of careful gameplay to win. It's still being worked on by the developer. I still play regularly.

System Shock 1 & 2 - Older PC games from the 90s that I loved and have gone back to replay at times over the years. A remake of SS1 came out recently on Steam (demo was great). I did the kickstarter, but chose ps4 version, so I'm waiting on that (playing it on a console would be great). The kickstarter was troubled, so I'm not sure if it will happen. Also, maybe a SS2 remake is possible. ...also replayed Bioshock many times.

The Last of Us has been my go to for a solid decade at this point

Everyone knows it for the story, but the multiplayer is a masterclass in game design. Well worth playing today, and the playerbase is still active on PS4

Agreed on the multiplayer. It really is great. I can’t wait for their unannounced multiplayer game.

Two come to mind:
The Division this came with my and I played it co-op with a friend but then we beat it with odd circumstances and he lost interest. I took a break but when I went back to it maybe a year later with all the DLC it hooked me and I put week's worth of hours into it. The Underground was my favorite DLC and I played it until the sequel dropped.

Forza Horizon 5 been playing this almost every single week since it came out. I've beat every event, collected 99% of the cars and finished all the DLC. I generally play at least twice each week for the seasonal stuff and only have like 3 achievements overall to get.

Honorable mentions: The Division 2 - hard to out do the first game IMO but this tried hard. The summer setting couldn't best the cavernous empty feeling of the winter in NYC. The DLC, by the time I stopped playing, weren't as good as the first game's.
Forza Horizon 2-4 - played a bunch of these as well, 2's road trip bit was dumb and I didn't love the seasons initially in 4 before my 200+ hour save got corrupted. 3 was my fav before 5 and I've been meaning to go back to it. I have all the DLC for all 4 titles and just enjoy driving and exploring and winning races.
Titanfall - got into this on the PC later in it's life, but it's the first competitive shooter I've played a good bit of and both enjoyed and did pretty well at. I also really like 2, but mainly just did the campaign.
Arkham series - beat them all, beat City twice, collected all the hidden trophies and did most of the DLC, want to replay Asylum and Origins before too long.

Advance Wars Dual Strike on the DS. I don't play multiplayer, but the War Room offers endless options. Trying to defeat maps in as few days as possible with different characters is quite satisfying.

Some of these I would never play again and others I still play regularly but these are all games I have a lot of time in...

Morrowind, Tetris, Baldur's Gate 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, Dark Souls 1/3, Bloodborne, Perfect Dark, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, Vanguard Bandits, Shenmue, Lunar SSSC and EBC.

I've beat Elden Ring and Sekiro more than once but it isn't in the total time range of these other games.

Too many to list, but I'll try and list a few of the main ones:

THQ's WCW and WWF games - As much fun as GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark were with friends and family, they were always secondary to these games during weekend visits.

NHL Hitz 2002 - One of my nephews and I had an epic undefeated streak in this game until the day we all stopped playing. Unfortunately none of the following games in the series were as good as this one, so we didn't get to continue that streak, but that's what I'll always remember this game for.

Mario Kart Wii - Mario Kart 8/Deluxe is nine years old now and even with the new content being added (which I bought but haven't played beyond Wave 2 I think) I think you might have to combine the time I spent in the Wii U and Switch versions to surpass the amount of time I put into the Wii version by itself.

Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2 - A few months ago I unpacked my Wii U just to play some 100 Mario Challenge for old times sake and have been revisiting it off and on since then. Super Mario Maker 2 released in 2019 and I still play it consistently. As for SMM on 3DS, let's just pretend that version doesn't exist.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf - At last count a couple years back I had over 8,000 hours invested into this across multiple versions of the games from different regions. I never came close to that with the Switch version because they removed a lot of the fun multiplayer stuff and this isn't really a game that stays fun as long if you only play it solo.

Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West - I still need to get around to buying the DLC for Forbidden West, but besides that I 100% completed both games, the expansion for the first game, platinum trophies, all that stuff. I don't know how much time combined I spent on the games but approximately 0 minutes of it did I ever feel bored.

I've probably put more hours into Elden Ring than any other game at this point since I don't typically replay. I'm at the final boss for my 2nd playthrough (went Frenzied Flame) and at Raya Lucaria on one I dabble with every now and then. Tackling Dark Souls 3 again now, which I haven't beat since launch (but fired up a few years ago). Souls are pretty much the only games I replay.

I actually just grabbed Dark Souls on Switch... (on sale for $20 at the moment)... I assume it's a bit under-powered, but Portable Souls!
