This story broke around the same time Sega was saying they were going to be reaching into their back catalog, and also how excited they were about NFTs.

Oh it's like buying items in the game. For me it depends how they do it. If I can complete the game and not have to purchase any of that crap and they want to have additional paints or skates or shirts you can buy I don't really care. But if it effects playing through the game I'm out.

Are NFTs still a thing? At least a thing that matters?

That's a positive trend.
The fact is was ever 41 billion to begin with is insanity but must just be to certain groups buying into it to boost the value.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is basically a JSR homage and I think Sega would have bought them out or legally blocked them if they intended to release something on their own. I don't think Jet Set is in the works. I think it's 1 or 2 pieces of fan art that just got people excited.

This, Crazy Taxi and Hyenas were the stated Super Games. The last one was cancelled last month after they realized nobody liked it, and they've recently begun walking back the NFT crap, so who knows what the status is.
