Topic Possibly No More Madden for Me

many years back, Madden games used to have the classic teams as well as classic stadiums. i was so hooked, it was like relieve the good ole days of the NFL. then it downsize to classic players(mostly included in Ultimate Team mode) and a minimum number of teams(Madden Legends and Madden Elite) in later years. the latest edition of Madden(which is Madden NFL 23) has only 2 teams(AFC legends and NFC legends) and one stadium(Oakland Alameda Coliseum). thats not enough. i want those teams(1975 Steelers, 1977 Cowboys, 1989 49ers, 1999 Rams, etc) back as well as the stadiums(Mile High, Astrodome, Tampa Stadium, etc), with the players included(except for Jim Brown since he dont want this likeness and athletic skills included). the NBA 2k series, EA NHL series has classic teams and players still. if Madden 2024 dont include those teams, players, and stadiums, ill be done with Madden, forever. i would do the same thing if i were all of you.

Madden is just an awful series IMO. They don't even try to make a good game anymore since they bought the exclusive license and took out the 2k games (which were much better, 2k5 was 19.99 at launch too!). Plus each time a new system comes out, it takes them 3 or 4 years to add back in features from the last gen. If u really want to play a NFL game and can deal with slightly outdated rosters, then just buy the version from a year or two prior for like $5 and save yourself a lot of money.

well i have Madden 19, the only game that has 2 extra teams(including the Madden Legends)

I don't play it anywhere near as much as I used to but decided to download Madden 22 on GamePass. On Rookie and Pro, I was winning every game by 30+ points. Then I moved up to All-Pro and couldn't complete a pass anymore. My receivers wouldn't even try to make the catch, but the defense was making incredible interceptions on nearly every play. I figured it was just me needing to get better (I used to be really good, but I'm rusty). After a week or so of this, I started looking online for pointers and started reading how everybody was having the same issues and that the game is basically broken. I don't get how they have messed up such a great game. How is it that the game had better AI and more features 20 years ago on the OG Xbox?

I think the Madden games are well done, but they just do so little to advance the genre each year. I've been playing them a year or two behind and have had fun, but that's for like $5-$10 instead of $70.

And I agree with the above about difficulty...I can't seem to find the right settings to have a single-player game that is both fun and competitive. The better I do the more fun I have but I either dominate or I get absolutely crushed. Granted I'm not good but I think more time was spent on multiplayer or the yearly gimmick than the AI.

ESPN NFL 2K5 or bust. Just download new rosters and you're good to go.

This! I remember even way back in 2004 when this came out, the original Xbox version had a halftime show with actual highlights from your game. I always thought that was so cool - everything from presentation to gameplay was top notch in 2k5.
