This seems worse than E3 to me. So much extra nonsense that I can't imagine all that many people actually care about. We just want to see new announced games, and updates on upcoming games. The rest is pointless.
> New Prince of Persia 2d side scroller. What happened to the remake of sands of time?
They gave an update on it two or three weeks ago. I think it changed hands and is now going back to the developers of the original game who are starting over with it.
Sonic Superstars, Lies of P, Yes Your Grace, Spider-man 2, FFVII Rebirth & Hellboy: Web of Wyrd (trailer shown way after the main presentation) are the only things that really interest me. Maybe Toxic Commando a bit. Otherwise not much to get pumped for imo.
I thought the trailer for the new Prince of Persia looked kinda decent (though the rap music was a weird choice) and it's by the team that did Rayman Legends, but apparently it's getting downvoted to hell on all the channels that uploaded it on YouTube. Combined between them the total number of likes is 21,163, compared to 52,691 dislikes.
Also, I thought YouTube went out of their way to prevent users from seeing the number of downvotes but it seems there are ways around that.
> New Star Wars game announced, but no real info again. Just weird movie trailer.
there's speculation/rumor the KotR remake is either canned or moving studios. They really need to stop doing CGI trailers for games 3+ years out (probably being generous with 3 years).
That was a terrible showcase IMO. The constant day one game pass at the end of each clip just reeked of desperation and got old quick with the same presentation.
Day one game pass has got to be terrible for sales. Even delaying their addition by a month would probably capture most of the sales without much of a loss in subscriptions.
I'm intrigued about the Star Wars title, since it's from Massive who IMO did awesome work on the Division series. I'm not a big SW fanatic but can enjoy the universe of it, so that game will be one that I pay attention to.
