I got Zelda CE for subscribing to NP. Regarding pre-order bonuses, nothing too cool that I can recall. I did get that Samus mug nonamesleft mentioned. And steel books are nice, but I don't usually keep them. Already sold the one I had for Octopath Traveler 2.

I got a $10 discount preordering Tears of The Kingdom from Amazon prior to the price increase.

I don't think it was an official bonus but for one of the Wipeout games it came with a bonus soundtrack CD. I think it was Wipeout Fusion (PS2) including the Wipeout 3 or XL soundtrack release (there were standalone album versions of those). Very cool bonus at the time.

Still have my MQ sealed, amazing pre order! I don't think anything tops that.

Oh I forgot about the Smash Bros coin Best Buy gave out to those who pre-ordered Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

I actually didn't get mine through a pre-order, since I had preordered my game elsewhere, but through coming in second place at a Best Buy Smash Bros Brawl tournament/Midnight Launch for the 3DS game.

Besides Final Fantasy 15 A Kings Tale which later was made free, I cannot think of anything worthwhile. I have a box of collectibles like my Shrina ID from FF 7 Remake and a bunch of other items but nothing worthwhile to me. I prefer content I suppose.

Back in the 90's it was common to get T-Shirts as a pre order bonus. I remember getting them for Gran Turismo 2 (packed in the shape of a car), FF VII, DK Country and RE Code Veronica (maybe this was after the 90s, cant remember). I believe I still have them all. But the Master Quest Freebie is hard to beat, I still have that as well.

One of my favorites is Hypderdimension Neptunia 2 or 3 came in an old school metal lunchbox with a bunch of swag. Was a big fan of ce's back then. Most go generic and boring now a days, or so over priced that buying them is a no go for me.

Just remembered another one...

Mirror's Edge came with a yellow messenger bag like the ones you collect in the game. My non-gamer girlfriend at the time confiscated mine because she liked it so much.

As for the PWAA3 plushie, that was frankly a joke. It was a giant pain in the butt to get in the first place, because Capcom's store distributor at the time, Digital River, sucked an entire pallet of eggs. (These are the same hosers that made the Ni no Kuni Wizard's Edition scalping fiasco c. 2013 possible when they handled distribution for Bandai Namco, and y'all already know how I feel about Bandai Namco.)

So the tiny Nick's hair is a single piece of felt wrapped around his noggin and held together with hot glue. The eyes are basically vinyl. Maybe I didn't take as good care of it as I should have, but it still felt kind of chintzy, and the little guy kind of started to fall apart.

Thanks to benstylus' efforts, I received a vastly superior, though unofficial, Phoenix Wright plushie as a Christmas present later that year. Official plushies from San-ei were rolled out for the 15th-ish anniversary of the Ace Attorney franchise, but those seem to have dropped off the face of the earth.

Good Smile is rolling some out later this year (just found this out now), and I'm hoping they will come along on Suruga-ya or Amazon.co.jp for not-$50.

For now, if you want to show how much you like Phoenix Wright, just buy the games (hoping the physical 2nd trilogy has English support). Ghost Trick needs a lot of love too now that it's on everything and not just an overpriced DS game.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin we got a soundtrack CD, an art book and a really sweet poster.
Oh and that GTA 4 pre order bonus was NUTS. I got a lockbox, a messenger bag and a soundtrack CD.

The Dante's Inferno action figure bonus was pretty great too and i really dug the Bionic Commando retro style action figure bonus.

Recently, my son preordered Pikmin 4 and got a really cool pin set. Also, the one I remember is the Star Fox Adventures limited edition bobblehead -- which I still have -- if you preordered the game at Target.

These weren't preorders, but I remember Toys R' Us had really good tie-ins if you bought a particular game there on launch day. I remember getting a Super Mario Galaxy coin when that game came out and when Bioshock 2 came out they gave a free Toys R' Us exclusive Big Sister/Little Sister two pack. I remember I kept that sealed and sold that on eBay a few years ago for a nice chunk of change.

Also have the matching Starfox, Mario, and Samus that came out in the same time frame.

Wasn't technically a pre-buy, but got it around the time of Wind Waker, so I always equated the two together.

I got him shortly after the launch of GameCube. He was being used as a display prop in the electronics isle at the Target my mother took me too.

I was playing the GC kiosk and nerding out with the guy working. Before we left, he asked my mom if it was alright he give me the bobblehead. Since I loved Mario and Nintendo, he really wanted me to have it.

I was very young at the time, but I remember it so vividly. That nice employee made me very happy that day, and it's no doubt the most sentimental bobblehead in my collection.
