It's a cheap RCA to HDMI box, clearly it doesn't compare to the many times more expensive alternatives, but does anyone have any feedback on it or similar devices?

My main gaming TV surprisingly has an RCA input that I likely should try first. I would be looking mainly to hook up a PlayStation 2 or possibly a Nintendo GameCube
The low price has me tempted.

You can't buy this from him right now. Chip shortage sadly.

2x Pro is in stock ($140): https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/retrotink-2... This would be a better option of course.

@Slickriven as far as the device you linked, it wouldn't surprise me if your tv handles it better than something like that. As long as you have a decent tv. I would try just connecting to your tv first and seeing how it is for you. The biggest thing you can also do is getting other cables for the systems. That goes a long way. You can get new a new HD retrovision component cable for PS2 for $33.

Yeah I think I'll pass on that cheap Woot! option. I tried my PS2 via RCA cables to my 4K Hisense TV and it wasn't bad. Was surprised that this set even accepted analog signals since my higher quality OLED doesn't. The picture wasn't excellent, but it wasn't horrible and I could play it. I do have the Component cables for my Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2 actually, so that PRO retrotink would make some sense, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in dropping $140 for 2x of them, since I would think I really only would need one, guess I could look to sell the other.

Appreciate the info.

It's just for one unit, 2x is just the name of it.

I think it's the cheapest good readily available option. The chip shortage has caused a lot of issues.

That sucks that your tv doesn't just have component inputs then. Component straight into the tv would have been fine tbh. Of course I understand why, new products aren't really being made that connect that way.

hahahaha oops! Then for sure I don't really want to drop $140 for that, at least not right now.

Yeah I get why TVs dropped those connections since HDMI was just a better option. I think my rcvr has Component so I could try that, but I think I did a long while ago, as this is my older rcvr and I don't think it worked, since it doesn't have Component out and almost certainly doesn't do the conversion internally. At least the Composite is working if I need it to. I also happen to have more than 1 of each of those consoles from that era, so I could seek to modify 1 and get HDMI out. It's just not currently a priority for me.
