I am a long time collector who is trying to get out of the collecting hobby. I started back with the release of the SNES, and my collecting obsession ran up until the birth of my first child in 2006. By that time I had amassed a HUGE collection spanning all different types of systems and games. The birth of my second child in 2008 was the proverbial 'nail in the coffin'. My collection room turned into a nursery, and all of my video game 'things' went into Rubbermaid tubs. It seems that every year or so, I'll sell/trade off a little more of it. I just don't have the time, space, nor desire to keep up with it anymore.
At this point in time, I'm not really interested in anything 'retro'. I've pretty much stopped collecting entirely, with the exception of sealed 'Limited Run Games' releases, and anything that I want to PLAY (not collect!) for PS4 or Nintendo Switch. Outside of those 3 things, I'm just not interested anymore. Ideally, I'd be able to move ALL of my older (pre-current gen) and have nothing left but a couple small shelves full of the aforementioned items, and hopefully a good chunk of $$$ for a pinball machine upgrade.
That being said, I'm currently going through some of my things to get them listed on here. As a stickler for condition, most of my collection items are going to be immaculate. If anything is wrong with the item, I'll definitely let you know in the item listing.
I've also tried to add photos to my listings as they've been added. I used my iPhone to take these photos, some came out great and some did not. Not entirely sure why. Either way, if you've got any question or need additional photos, just let me know! I AM interested in:
- Items that are Complete (Box/Case/Game/Manual/Etc.)
- Clean, relatively scratch/scuff free items (for PS4)
- SEALED 'Limited Run Games' that are on my 'want' list (preferably with postcard and proper sticker) I AM NOT interested in:
- Previous store rental items (unless in perfect condition)
- Items with non-factory stickers or labels stuck on them
- Items with any writing (ink pen/marker) on them
- Items with any type of water "wrinkle" damage or fading
I make a good effort to describe my items in detail, so you have a pretty good idea of exactly what you'll be getting when you receive your items in the mail. Most of the items I have in my "available" list are in perfect condition. I have many games that were purchased, and only played once or twice, then put up in the closet to never see the light of day again.Shipping Practices:
Packages will go out next day. I have a post office within a mile of where I work, so I am able to drop them off during my lunch break. All packages will go out either USPS First Class mail w/ Delivery Confirmation or USPS Priority. Upon shipment, I'll provide the delivery confirmation number here on GameTZ. I will not be able to ship on Weekends. As a long time collector, I've shipped hundreds of packages all over the US. Don't worry, I know better than to ship a cardboard box inside of a manila envelope! I'll do all I can go make sure you items get to you in top notch condition!Experience w/ Online BST (Buy/Sell/Trade):
I've been a gamer/collector for many years, and have built and maintained a good buying/selling/trading reputation on several other websites. Even though I've been here a while, but haven't been very active and still have few feedback, I thought it might be beneficial to link to the below as references to my BST history...
