Gaming Computers

Computers Will be shipping in their original cases box for better shipping. I don't trust UPS to pack and ship my PCs anymore. These are new computers, just built last week, except for Computer #2 was built 3 months ago but has seen very little use if any at all. If your wondering why i'm selling below cost is because I only care about building the computers, its really fun for me, its about the only thing that brings me joy. I own 5 gaming PCs of my own. So I don't need these, i'd just take the money from these, pay a little bit on bills and then just buy more parts and build new ones all over again.

This PC is now finished :)

Are my board games too high priced I wonder?

Not sure on the prices, there's a couple of resources like boardgamegeek that can give an idea of prices. Unfortunately, I've got a lot of tabletop games basically collecting dust in my closet right now because the only game night I ever have is Magic the Gathering Commander... The others don't seem to want to play any other tabletop game and the ones I did play tabletop games with have been hermits since COVID basically and the ones before that kicked me out of "the club" for whatever reason.

So if it wasn't for that, I'd take a few off your hands.

Sadly Magic is what id love to be playing but no one I know plays Magic anymore. But my group plays board games, I and another bought a bunch of games so we could play wherever without lugging around a bunch of games, but my older brother has a habit of always lugging all his board games everywhere and we always used his that i never had a reason to open mine when playing at my place

I can't speak to your board game prices, but based on your track record here I trust they are more than fair. I looked a few of these up but ultimately I didn't think they would land in my play group.

--
I've worked my way into a small corner of the overall board game library where only a select group of games interest me (my family). My play group is basically my kids (ages 8-14). I like the sprawling RPG type board games that take hours and hours to finish, like Mage Knight. They like fast-paced and funny games like Avocado Smash and Kids Against Maturity. We try to find some in between games to play. King Domino, Ghost Fightin Treasure Hunters, and Wingspan have stuck with us.

We've played various trading card games like Pokemon and Magic, but we've moved on to Lorcana. So far, the reception from the kids is lukewarm. For me, Lorcana is fun, but not to the level of sophistication and strategy as MtG, at least not yet. I stopped buying Magic around Innistrad Midnight Hunt / New Phyrexia. Once MtG started releasing more and more sets based around already established lore like LotR, Transformers, and Dr. Who....and I became highly uninterested. I've been working to downsize my collection and just hold on to a few decks (pauper, Commander mainly).

I've been playing MTG since well, it started but made the mistake of quitting for a while and selling my old collection when it wasn't worth a great deal like it is now. Picked back up but by then everyone i knew had stopped playing it cause it became a 'money sink' for them. I still buy and build decked that in theory may work well but are untested. I never got into Pokemon, Lorcana looks interesting but i already have one TCG that I can't even play except online and online just doesn't feel the same (Arena).

Have you tried games like King of New York or Tokyo or any others with your kids? They are a quick paced fun and funny game. Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards is a fun and funny game but not kid friendly (language). Someone should make a game like that but geared towards kids. Stuffed Fables is a cute game friendly enough for kids that has you playing as the 'fabled stuffed animals' saving your owner from basically what amounts to be nightmares.

Have you played any of the Descent games? They are fun, long, dungeon crawling board games with lots of quests and plenty of monsters and traps to be had for all.

Legendary is a fun game if you love Marvel. It can be played 1 to 5 players I think, its not as fun to play by yourself and makes the game easier to win, more players oddly enough makes it more difficult. My wife gets confused by the combo system and refuses to play it so I never got to open mine and since my older brother already owns all the same sets except the Phase 1 marvel we just use his.

If you've never given any version of Munchkin a try you should its a nice, fun, quick, backstabbing dungeon card game where the goal is to get to lvl 10 first by any means possible before another player does.

Betrayal of House on the Hill - Scooby Doo is a fun kids friendly version of the base game thats always random every time you play and is best played with at least 3 players minimum.

Munchkin is fun... I also like the resource building tabletop games as well... the ones I was playing tabletop games with before COVID hit, we were playing "The 7th Continent." That is an interesting game... I wonder if we'll ever finish it... if we remember where we left off. LOL

I too sold off my MtG collection once before and I think would have some regrets if I could recall some of the cards I had. I remember starting out on sets like Mirage, Portal, Ice Age, and Tempest. I remember playing at least up until 7th Edition. Mid to late high school, around the Mirrodin and Kamigawa blocks (2004-05) I sold off my collection to really dive into game collecting. Started playing again a few years later in the Zendikar block (2009) and have basically bought from sets off and on ever since. This time around I think I'm actually done with the fat pack / booster box buying for the thrill of the hunt. Instead I'll opt to keep some of my decent decks and buy singles as needed/wanted. So I can play if anyone ever wants to, but my time and money isn't shackled to it like it once was.

You actually make some great suggestions. Personally I'm all but sold on Stuffed Fables, but I'm not sure about my youngest fully grasping some of the concepts. I didn't know Kings of New York was by Richard Garfield, that intrigues me all on its own. However, I think Tokyo would be a better starting point for the family.

I haven't played Descent but it looks just like my kind of game.

We're not much a Marvel household and deck building never quite seems to land with the kids. I wish!

We've definitely played Munchkin and it is fun. I'm not sure why I've never invested in a set.

We actually have Betrayal as well, but we only play that with our oldest.

I may reach out to you sooner then later. Thanks

Stuffed Fables is fun and we originally got it so an autistic family member with some mental handicaps could play with us. Its not a tough game to play and is enjoyable by everyone.

I love Descent its got all the elements of a D&D style game complete with everything you need. I have a couple expansion sets with mine from when they were in beta. The company that makes the game is awesome, they even replaced every single token and card sets when someone stole mine during one of my parents garage sales and the game was sitting on a table with everything in a clear sorting box. They even sent extra tiles, it was almost like they nearly sent a complete game over just without the original box.

I can get that w/ Marvel. The theme isn't for everyone but they also make other franchise version like Aliens and others.

You really should invest in a set. If you want a brutal version of Munchkin go for Adventure time. If you just want a fun set the base deluxe set is good as it comes with everything even a board to keep easier track of each persons level.

Betrayal Scooby Doo is more younger age appropriate where as the original or Baldur's Gate is definantly more adult appropriate.

The magic the gathering board games were good for what they were but the rules seriously restricted game play, so we altered them ourselves to allow a spell back into your hand after so many rounds as a 'cooldown' rather than just saying you get 8 spells and thats all you get through the entire campaign after having to battle against several monsters and then a boss or other players

If you want a fun and fast game any version of Flux is really good, it just starts out draw a card, play a card and having to match certain cards to win, following that the rules can change on each persons turn, so its a game ever in 'flux'.

Pandemic, any version is a great game if you like games where you are basically racing against a proverbial 'clock'.

I can make lots of recommendations just based on your style of play :)
