Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.

Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.

https://youtu.be/30DPu43_Uko

Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?

I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.

Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.

I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.

Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

"after" ... man, I'm still stuck on that ... hahaha. It was GME that was the insanity that thank god I got out of realtively unscathed. DOGE on the other hand, still on the damn ride, waiting for my turn to get off!

Oh, it was GME that you took us here on a ride? Thought it was Doge. Man you had us on a rollercoaster.

Finally finished this over the weekend after we lost power for 24 hours.

I had played this for 2 weeks straight upon release but had not touched it since then really. Upon coming back to the game, I was in the middle of the Water temple, after already having done the Wind, Lightning and Spirit temples/sages. I actually had already discovered the Fire Temple and the end of the game location and put travel medallions down to go back to them. Very quickly I was able to finish the Water temple and Fire Temple and then go to Hyrule Castle and then to the end of the game. I watched a speed run and saw someone could do it in less than 42 mins. I definitely did things out of order and the game dialogue reflected that (e.g., getting the Spirit sage and Master Sword before finishing 2 of the temples) and finding the final boss location early.

There's a ton of content I still need to go and do, but will do so slowly over time.

I still haven't finished the game. I stopped playing around July just before heading to the end of the game. For some reason I just haven't been motivated to finish it. I'll get to it eventually.

I played TOTK pretty consistently for like 2 months. Now the only main part of the story I have left is the ending. I tried beating it once but the path to the final boss was brutal, so I went and got the armor that makes it a little easier. I’ve still yet to go back and capitalize on that armor and beat the game, just moved on.

Love the game obviously but when you play something so nonstop for so long, it’s gonna burn you out a bit. That said, I’m already getting early onset nostalgia for it despite it only coming out less than a year ago. Anytime I see clips of it in videos on YouTube, I get a rush to go play it again.

I’ll beat it soon enough, but I also enjoy knowing that I still have a bit of the game to look forward to.

Yeah, I essentially lost interest after going on a vacation, and had just been playing PS5 games and watching TV since. And the last 3 weeks I had been playing FFXVI, which I finished on the same day right before Zelda. I only picked TotK backup because our power was out for 24 hours and playing the Switch was the only thing I could do (poor cell reception if our internet is down) so I figured I should finally go back to it. I had put in 70 hours before I took the long break.

Wow. 5 months later. Definitely a big gap as KCPenguins called it. How did you like it? Good? Great? Amazing?

I put a bunch if hours into it back when it released, but wasn't really feeling it for some reason. Maybe I'll get back to it eventually.

Well I got back on Epona recently after a long time away. The Gloom Hands had run me off LOL. I picked up the Phantom Armor understood fuse better (use what you get stop collecting it) and after roaming around using heroes path finding all kinds of new stuff in places i never went around, I got the balls to take on the gloom hands and gloom ganon again!

I thought I needed to find all the gloom armor to succeed but I did fine with the Phantom Armor and weapons in the 35 attack power range. Now I have the Master Sword and everyone is starring up at the Castle do I dare? I have yet to defeat a Gleekok, I have most of the Armors sets now but nothing worth using at level 2-3. Keep workin at it, or End this thing and go to the castle?

Also I see Elden Ring has a DLC drop, TOTK next?

I believe they stated no plans for DLC as they accomplished everything they wanted to in the game.

This is one of many games I started but then didn't finish over the last couple years. I really need to get back to it, I was so close to beating it. I just had the desert storyline left, and I already had it in progress. Then I could go fight the final boss. Still tons of shrines to find, and I need to explore the Depths more, but I've done a ton of the extra stuff, like upgrading my battery, finding and upgrading all of the armor, etc.

Yep, which really bummed me out. I was at least hoping for another Trial of the Sword challenge, I enjoyed that so much in BotW.
