Ok I’m looking for a little help . For my bday my brother got me a Rtx 4080 . And I’m having stuttering . If I walk straight it fine but if I turn it has a sorta frame stutter is best way I can describe it .

My specs are

asus strix z590 a gaming WiFi
64 gb ram
I9 11900 kf
ZOTAC 4080 oc trinity
2tb 990 evo pro
1tb 980 evo pro
1tb 980 evo pro
850 wat psu . ( I do have a 1000 wat psu I’m about to install)

msi artymis 323cqr Monitor

Lighting is all corsair

And I’m using a 8k display port cable .
No overclocking ( I don’t know how )

Any advice would be appreciated.

Are nvidia drivers updated? Monitor have sync? Is it all games or just one?

Nvidia drivers are updated , I do have freesync on . I have managed to get a few games running right . But a lot of the games do this . I know some games are optimized like crap . My monitor is 165hz but if I go over 100fps the ganes will start to stutter .

Do the games stutter if you disable freesync?

Are you sure you have your monitor connected to your video card and not the onboard video port?

Do games stutter with freesync disabled and your monitor plugged in via HDMI?

Have you configured your monitor to actually run at 165hz?

Have you configured windows to actually run at 165hz?
