Western KY. There is a light haze but I definitely feel the difference in air quality. I have asthma and it is typically well controlled but I've already used my rescue inhaler twice today

St. Louis... made me feel scratchy/uncomfortable. Too bad because the temp is like 80 and would have been lovely. Over 100 tomorrow.

Way down in Louisiana is fine, but heat index is 105+ every day so going outside isn't exactly recommended

Is the the first regional smoke event you all have been through out east? Out west we normally get fires July through October, with like August/September being peak season. So interesting seeing this happen so soon.

We're getting it in Southern Indiana (Ohio River Valley) and my daughter who lives about 20 miles south in Kentucky says they are getting it.

From my understanding a level of 300 or higher is considered a hazard. Yesterday it was very hazy out and you could smell the smoke. The score was about 275 "very unhealthy". Today it's at 155 "unhealthy."

Michigan here. On Wednesday we were at 208 ("Very Unhealthy"). You could definitely smell it. Yesterday we dropped to the 180s ("Unhealthy"), but then it rained liked crazy so you couldn't really smell anything.

This morning we're at 157 (still "Unhealthy") and it is SUPER foggy this morning. It appears to be a mix of normal fog (due to the rain yesterday) and the smoke.

Montana here. Current air quality index is 28

Today we're down to 58. Under 50 gets us into "Normal" range.

I've been watching the AQI pretty closely since this all started in the east. That number can bounce up and down all day, as the winds move the smoke around. There was a point early on where we hit 300. Currently back down to the yellow zone, and a score of 55, which isn't all that bad,

Had the moon looking pink and then orange on Friday night.

You know being in new York aside from the discoloration on the first round and moon and sun colors this time I really don't notice it as much, but then again im a hermit anyways and spend way too much time inside so its not really effected me terribly, but to those working outside i feel for ya.
