I'm only interested in the Toad sauce (for my Toad collection). I might buy it and just sell or trade the other two away.

This movie is being made specifically to sell stuff to people, haha. I wonder how the licensing fees break down between Nintendo and Universal on stuff like this.

Pretty good but unexpected move from Truff. Kinda bougie / niche product with potential to be big. The mushroom kingdom tie in is pretty smooth.

It’s 18$ for 6 oz bottle of the sauce. Pretty typical for these bougie gourmet hot sauces.

I like cholula on my Mexican food and as a general use hot sauce. It’s pretty good. Probably my favorite all purpose warm sauce is the hot ones classic series- the garlic one is pretty good. The Caliente series is great too. For wings I definitely prefer Frank’s. I don’t love Asian inspired sauces tbh. This Truff stuff is just for truffle enthusiasts for sure. It does taste good but I’m not really into it. Wife loves it. She has the “white” version which she heavily prefers. Puts it on everything. Popcorn , veggies, meat, pasta.

Anyone else feel like they completely missed the boat on the cap? Like should have been mario mushroom caps?

The cap is like their emblem. It’s supposed to look like a truffle I guess? They have shirts etc with the emblem on it. Definitely a toad hat or power shroom would have been cool here.

I don't know if I've ever even had truffle but now I'm jonesing to try it.

To me it’s like concentrated garlic- I can taste it for days.

For anyone interested in trying this stuff - check your local Costco. They had a 2-pack of the original for $14 (iirc). My neighbor gave me a bottle as she wasn't a big fan - and I wasn't either. It's got a big truffle note and mild-medium spice.

On that note - if you are about spice, this local place has some of my favorite sauces. Their stuff is still expensive-ish (~$12 per), but if you sign up for their mailing list they have discounts regularly. Vampire Slayer and Zombie Brains (limited release) are both out of this world.

Wish I could get just princess because I guarantee my daughter would eat it up. She thinks she doesn’t like spicy. Guess I can make my own princess sauce like in the old days.

The white truffle sauce is $35 on its own to buy their normal version.
