All of my students have now been sponsored! If you are still wanting to help, I have an Amazon wishlist I can share with you. It is for supplies for the classroom. I’d also take donations for extra books for Christmas/end of year parties.
I’ve had people give games and posters etc. and kids love those things for incentives if that’s your thing too.

I have had good luck the last couple years with this fundraiser. It feels odd asking for sponsors from you guys, but I figured I’d see if anybody wants to sponsor a student again.
So far I have 30 out of 25-30 students sponsored! Wanna help?
I did this last year and received enough donations for all my students to receive a free book every month!
Each month we receive the Scholastic Book Club fliers to send home. We have our students circle their favorite books in hopes their families will purchase them. Unfortunately, most of our students never order. This means they are not adding to their home libraries and we are not getting credit to build up our classroom library. BUT, THIS CAN ALL CHANGE!!!
Here’s the idea I’d like to try again this year:
Scholastic has books every month that are $1. We would LOVE for each of our students to be able to bring home one new book each month during the school year from September to June. Seem crazy and unrealistic? Keep reading! 😉
If I select a $1 book each month, that’s only $10 per child (for a FULL school year). Would anyone be interested in “sponsoring” a child in my class? You could mail me a check for $10 made out to “Scholastic Book Club” and that child would get a new book to take home and KEEP each month! I would then send in all of the checks together and it would credit our Scholastic account. If you’re interested in helping out with this project let me know! I am going to have at least 25 students (likely 30) in my class this year! Message me or comment. I’ll message you with my address and more details. 😁
If you prefer to do Venmo, cashapp, or PayPal friends and family that’ll work too. I would just write a check with all the Venmo, cashapp, and PayPal sent to me.
New books help build a love for reading! We know our students would appreciate something special each month. Thank you for all the support and love in our teaching careers.
