Predominately use an iPad Pro (& Mini) and Apple Pencil in combination with an app called Procreate. The Mini goes with me dang near everywhere, along with a small sketchbook and kindle, and is used for the quick ideas and whatnots, then the pro gets most of the work done when I'm back at my desk.
I'm not on any sites like fiver at the moment. I've given it some thought, but honestly, life is busy enough with kiddos and my 8-5 that fully throwing in on something like fiver makes me nervous. I feel like the hypothetical project turnaround there would potentially cause some headaches.
I do have an etsy page that I offer larger party commissions through and I've found that I really enjoy controlling big commissions like that. I can open just enough slots for what I feasibly think I can handle at any given moment in time and if things get hairy, I can pull any openings down quickly.
I've been really surprised with how well that's gone too. If I open slots on there, things will be quiet for a week or so, then Etsy will start promoting the listing and my slots will sell out typically within days of one another.
