SO .. I usually provide some extra context as to why I am doing an auction, but I didn't for this one, mainly due to time.
BUT here goes ... well first of all, I am starting a new job in a few weeks and I would LOVE to clear some space out of the office, which is the practical reason for this auction (especially the clean out mystery box (thanks @ryanflucas for throwing an opening bid on that))
But really, the true reason, and the thing that I think most people here might be able to relate to is ... I want to buy a game. It's a ridiculous and dumb game on a console that I only recently started collecting for and would have been happy to never know about ... but now I must have it. There is no reason this game should exist, and there are only like 2 copies on ebay that are marked way up. So, if I can at least cover half the cost with this auction, I would call that a win. We only a little bit of the way there. It isn't an egregious amount by any means, just ... I can't justify it without offsetting the overall cost somehow.
So there you have it ... it all comes back to wanting one .. dumb ... game.
@Jaded - oh nice! I'm jealous. I've been eyeing the Pocket heavily for a while now.
Okay - so since it's handheld and we know that you'll likely use your Pocket to play it, did you have to purchase any adapters to be able to play the game on your device?
(Edit, this was a weak question - didn't realize only the game gear adapter was out now, haha)
Okay, if the other adapters aren't out just yet, even though you have pre-ordered them, then unless I've gotten the wires crossed, we're looking at a Sega Game Gear title.
I know next to dunk-all about the Game Gear. I had one super briefly but a buddy was really wanting one to mod, so I gifted it to him.
Hmmm.... and you're going for a CIB copy of this title, correct?
@Jaded - Phew okay. For now, I'll assume that it might not be a "classic" Game Gear game, since you mentioned only learning about it recently, so I thinking we can cross off all Sonic titles, Columns, Disney titles a la Castle of Illusion and Lion King etc... Probably not Zoop or a sports title, haha.
Hmmm.... Is it an RPG? I think that's a pretty short list on the Game Gear.
