I was hoping Inscryption would be on sale. Went there, but no, at least not yet. Though it's a recent port. Do newer ports even get put on sale in the eshop?

If you add it to your wishlist Nintendo will send you an email when it goes on sale.

I’ve found this to be only semi-reliable.

I do have 350+ games on my wishlist and their site doesn’t seem to handle that amount of data associated to an individual user very well under any circumstances

@Jaded yeah, that is true. I don't have quite that many games in my wishlist (closer to 100) and the emails usually only show me 5 games on sale at a time. But if there's that many I'll know to check my wishlist to see the rest of them.

@PizzaTheHutt and then it crashes because you try and load too many things?

I use the NT Deals app. I add games that I want to watch the price on and it sends me a push notification every time something I’ve watched goes on sale. Worked pretty well for me so far, might be worth looking into.

I'm not sure about the web eShop, I just make my purchases directly through the console. It's slow as hell but I've never had it crash or anything.

I wish the Switch Online app would allow you to browse the eShop and make purchases like the PlayStation App does. I don't like using the PlayStation store through the console, so I'd usually make my purchases through the website on PS4. But once I got a PS5 I downloaded the app and it notifies me anytime a game in my wishlist goes on sale and I can purchase it directly through the app without needing to use the website or boot up the console and can even queue it up for downloading automatically if my console is in rest mode (a neat feature but I never leave consoles in rest mode). Even better is that unlike eShop you can add multiple games to your cart at a time whereas eShop only lets you purchase games one at a time.

DekuDeals is my go to site for tracking prices…very similar to NT deals. Better IMO.

Provides price history and if the current price is an all time low or matching an all time low.

I'd probably only add one game though, so we'll see how that goes.
