A developer revealed there is a cheat code that allows Alien: Resurrection to be removed and players can the insert a CDR with a burned game and play it without a hardware mod. As an Alien superfan (and owner of a copy), I think this is a pretty awesome surprise.

The asking buy it now prices have jumped to $300-$500. I don't see any bites yet, though.

Right now, 1 auction is at $370 with 22 bids. another is over $100 at 15 bids.

If all you want it for is to play boots, there are cheaper ways to do that.

Yeah, I'm confused.

Save money burning games, by paying several hundred dollars for what is basically a boot disc?

It does make me wonder about what kind of undiscovered cheat codes are still out there though.

Yes it's crazy to buy this at this price. I always wondered what else was out there, and this is a gem of a cool retro story.

If the developer hadn't shared this, it might not have ever been discovered.

It feels like with the tools people have nowadays, everything hidden in these classic games have been found, but stories like this show that there could always be something else out there undiscovered.

I waited years for that game to come out and was so happy when i did. Played it recently and it's still scary as hell and super ahead of its time.

Oh..that being said, if anyone is interested in a hard modded PS1, i'm selling mine.

Yeah it's a good game. Control feels a little loose but still a good game. I just tried Aliens: Dark Descent and I am digging it. It's giving a great first impression once.you do your first mission or two. Surprisingly deep.
