Interests: Games, stuff.
Likes: Lots of things. Quirky imports, weird games/movies.
Dislikes: Outdoor activities, and people who think sarcasm works online. It doesn't.
They're one of my favourite import sites (ship quickly, pack well, don't gauge on shipping, etc.), and they do have some really great sales once in awhile. Give 'em a try!Games Finished (written reviews coming soon?)OCTOBER '051) Radiata Stories (PS2)

.MARCH '061) Intelligent Qube (PS1)
--Review: 8.5/10...great game! Short, but fun/addictive. 2) Digital Devil Saga 2 (PS2)
--Review: 8/10...I liked the first one more. The ending was a bit of a letdown, and it had the easiest RPG final boss EVER. Also, it felt much more like a dungeon crawler than the previous one. Written review coming soon?3) Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2)
--Review: 9.5/10..ALMOST a perfect 10
.4) Shadow Hearts (PS2)
--Review: ??/10...I got up to the final boss the first time I played it (years
ago), but didn't finish until just now. I'll probably play it again soon and go for the good ending. Didn't think I could fairly review it because I haven't played it in so long. It's one of my favourites though.APRIL '061) Suikoden V (PS2)
--Review: 8/10?...wasn't sure what to rate it. Sucked at first, got great near the end. When I get off my lazy bum, expect a full written review.2) Shadow Hearts: From the New World (PS2)
--Review: 8-ish/10...suffers from a somewhat weak storyline and mostly weak characters, but still not a bad game when looked at on its own (don't compare it to 1 & 2
). They amped up the difficulty level from the previous games (or at least #2), and kept all the sidequests. I got both endings, did all the sidequests (besides snap trading...f'ing impossible) and am considering playing through again to get Purgatory.3) Disgaea (PS2)
-- Review: 9.5/10...My 3rd time through, thought I'd finally post a review. 4) Zone of the Enders (PS2)
--Review: 7.5/10...Like the story, gameplay gets pretty repetitive. Got both endings (but not the 2nd "good ending" variant).5) Tales of Legendia (PS2)
--Review: 6.5-7.5/10...Really average. I did the main quest, not the extra character ones. Might eventually.6) Metal Gear (MSX)

--Review: 8/10...also fun, but can get old pretty fast.9) Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
flawed, yet I can't help but love it.MAY '061) Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
--Review: 8.5/10...story was great, but I hated the major change in gameplay. It's almost completely stealth-based, whereas in the others, you could kinda choose between stealth or action.2) Wild ARMs 4
--Review: 7.5/10...the best in the series, without a doubt. My rating could go a bit higher. 3) Final Fantasy X
--Review: 7.5-8/10...finally finished it. When I started playing 4 years ago, I hated it. I picked up again recently and started over. Actually enjoyed it this time around.4) Xenosaga
--Review: 8-ish/10...good story, nice soundtrack, but everything else wasn't so hot.JUNE '061) Kingdom Hearts II
--Review: 9.5/10...nothin but
. They improved the battle system and the camera system, they livened things up a bit (last one got really repetitive), and the voice acting is better. Overall, just a much better game than the first.2) Xenosaga Ep.II
--Review: 6/10...story was good (not as good as the first), but everything else was bad. The soundtrack sucked, the character re-designs were awful, they recast voice actors for almost all the main characters even though it's a direct continuation of #1, the battle system is artificially lengthened to the point where you'll be spending 7-10 minutes per battle later in the game, etc. They just really screwed up on this one. The ending was ok, but they dragged it on a scene or two too long.3) Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
--Review: 5.5-6/10...don't know why I bothered finishing this. The story sucks, the characters are awful, the soundtrack is pretty bland, the battle system gets old quickly and is incredibly
flawed, the voice acting is lame, the sound is poor quality, and it just felt artificially lengthened. I can say more...4) Mario Party 7
--Review: 5/10...the series is on a continually declining roller coaster. I don't know why I even bothered picking this one up.5) Kenshuui Tendo Dokuta (DS)
--Review: 5.5-6/10...not bad. Like a mix of Phoenix Wright and Trauma Centre. WAAAAY too much talking and not nearly enough gameplay (maybe an hour's worth of actual work). All the item giving, fetch-ish quests, etc. get really annoying.6) La Pucelle Tactics
--Review: 8-8.5/10...hated it when I first started, but it grew on me pretty quickly. It's definitely no Disgaea, but it's my second favourite NIS strategy game so far.JULY '061) Suikoden Tactics
--Review: 7.5/10...held my interest, and was a pretty good strategy game. However, it gets annoying when some battles last upwards of an hour and a half, not to mention the story is bland/generic as well as highly predictable, the characters are very weak (story wise - you have no attachment to them whatsoever), and the ending is kinda crappy. Not bad, but spring for Disgaea or something instead.2) Silent Hill 2
--Review: 7.5-8/10...I wrote a bit about it on the forums, don't feel like digging it up/rewriting it. To sum it up- nice game (creeeeeepy), twist was handled poorly.3)Final Fantasy X-2
--Review: 7.5/10...just a general "meh" feeling. Story is meh, soundtrack is crappy, and it's really short unless you do all the sidequests (over 50% of the game). Battle system was ok, but it was still REALLY flawed, especially when there were more than 2 or 3 enemies in the battle (ie. sometimes they would get 2-3 turns each for every one turn you got - this is very apparent in some boss battles too).4)Lunar: SSSC
--Review: 5/10...this used to be one of my favourite games, but upon replay I was really disappointed. REALLY disappointed. WD's translation didn't hold up too well, the story was kinda boring, and the battle system got annoying. The soundtrack sucked too, but most likely because it's so low quality.AUGUST '061) Grandia
--Review: 8/10....great battle system, nice story. Ending kinda sucked though.SEPTEMBER '061) Xenosaga: Episode III
--Review: 9.5/10....best game in the series, without a doubt. Amazing storyline, all the problems from Xenosaga 2 were fixed. Nice/easy battle system (no more 10-15 battles with regular enemies!), great soundtrack, better character designs, most of the original voice actors were brought back. The story felt a little hurried along (obviously), but it wasn't a big issue. At 35 hours, it's a fair bit longer than Ep. 2. I really hope Monolith gets to continue the series.OCTOBER '061) Okami
--Review: 7.5 or maybe 8/10...I didn't actually finish it (15 hours in), but I put it here because it didn't really belong in the list of shame. I'm giving up on it, because it's getting a little too repetitive for my tastes. It feels very much like a Zelda game, but not quite the same, or as good. (Well...better than the crapfests that were Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, but that's another story.) I've heard it's 40-60 hours, and I just don't feel like putting that much time into the game...I feel like I've already enjoyed all the game has to offer. Anyways, to the point - very
overrated. Very.NOVEMBER '06
?????DECEMBER '061) Final Fantasy XII
-Review 7.5/10, maybe a bit lower. I posted a bunch about it in the forums, I don't want to re-write all of it >_>. Basically, it's mediocre. Poorly executed story (in so many ways), a gets-old-way-too-fast battle system ripped straight from the closest MMORPG, a character upgrade system that leaves everyone super generic, and voice acting that can be pretty iffy at times (not too mention extremely low sound-quality, thanks to the audio compression). I did like the ending, but SO many things were just left hanging or weren't really explained enough.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- List of ultimate SHAME (AKA Games I started but were too awful to finish)
1) Dragon Quest VIII (PS2) --- STOP ENIX, PLEASE STOP!
2) God of War (PS2)-- So overrated/overhyped it's disgusting. Just another crappy generic action game that gets old in a few hours.
3) GTA San Andreas (PS2)-- Didn't finish 3 or Vice City either. These games are all the exact same, and it's really sad that people keep buying them solely because of the controversy. I especially hated this one, because of the writing. I skipped every single cutscene and muted the dialogue after the first hour because I got so sick of listening to continual swearing and 'gangsta talk'.
4) The Getaway: Black Monday (PS2)-- Wow. This sucked. Badly.
5) Baten Kaitos (GC) -- Fortunately, there was an option to turn voice acting off. Un
fortunately, that can't make a crappy game any better.
6) Wild Arms 3 (PS2)-- One word: BLAND
7) ZOE: 2nd Runner - Story is meh, writing/translation is bad, most of the voice acting is pitiful, and the worst part: the horrible and completely unmanageable camera & targetting systems...they make the game almost impossible to play.
8) Kingdom Hearts: CoM (GBA)-- Pretty much everything about this game sucks. 'nuff said.
9) Beatmania (PS1)-- Wow. I bought the Japanese PS1 controller along with Beatmania and the 2nd Mix, and after getting them in the mail a few days ago, I can't believe I actually spent money
on this thing. I guess I can understand why it has a cult following, but still....
10) Yakuza: Not as bad as some of the other games on here, but Sega butchered this game for the NA release. Horrible localization, and a very average/below average dub (obviously should have been subbed). The controls in the fight system are bad (you'll spend more than half of your time punching the air), and the camera gets annoying too. There are an endless amount of loadtimes, even if they aren't overly long.
