We pended a trade on Sept. 9th 2012. $5 PayPal for his new sealed copy of Universe at War (PC) and I would cover his shipping costs by sending a mailing label.

On Sept 21st when it arrived it was not new, it was a reseal. When I opened it I found this:

No game, and a crumpled up water soaked manual.

When I messaged him about it he was pretty cool and said he bought it from GameStop years back and planned on giving them a piece of his mind. He asked me to ship it back and I did.
After getting the "game" back he refunded me the $5. I told him to keep in mind we were not out of the woods yet as I was still out all my shipping. $1.64 to send him the return label. $3.00 for the return label and another $3.00 to ship the "game" back again. At this point he got pretty moody and said he wasnt driving 60 miles to get another copy and that he would "get to it when he gets to it" I said fine, its a $5 game I'll give him time.

Fast forward to Nov 12th. I told him to keep me updated or I was putting up a BTR, at this point he had almost a month and he hasn't said a word. He responded there was no new news and he would let me know when there was. That was the last time he logged in.

He said he planned on sending me a digital code for the game, even tho the trade was for a hard copy I said that would work.

Either of these things would remove the BTR:

-A copy of Universe at War (PC) physical or digital
-My shipping costs

Its a shame it came to this, he seems like a nice enough guy, but this whole thing has been weird as hell.

EDIT: Obviously I would send you the $5 again. Im not asking nothing for something.

We are both out with this deal, me more than Scion. An employee of gamestop stole the game, re-shrink-wrapped the box, put it on the shelf and I paid $50 for it. I'm not driving 60 miles to get a digital copy of a game (which was promised to me by gamestop when I called them), to send it to Scion; there's nothing in it for me and I'd be out the money I paid for the game and the cost of gas to get there. I'm fine with the BTR if that will make Scion feel better, and I'll never use the site again.
