WELCOME TO MY PAGE

PLEASE READ OR SKIM THE FOLLOWING BEFORE MAKING AN OFFER OR ACCEPTING AN OFFER FROM ME!!! (Especially the sections on Value and Condition)

I've included all the following detail to help you easily make trades with me. I hope the amount of detail doesn't overwhelm you, but instead makes trading with me easy. If you don't read it, and get a "no thanks" back on your offer, then read this to hopefully understand why I wasn't interested. Thanks! --Chris

HOW TO READ THE "VALUE" COLUMN

There's nothing more frustrating than asking people if they want to trade and having them shoot you down. To minimize the chance of this happening with me, understand the code I use in the "value" column for tips about what kind of offer to make.

For "Available games"
.. Want to trade for equal value game (see note below)
- Will trade for a lesser value game (trying to get rid of it)
+ Feel this game is worth a greater value game (might be tougher to find) OR I may be more selective on a trade for this (I sometimes put this if I can't decide whether I want to play this again or not)
$ Likely to take cash for this game as well as a trade. If a number is included, this is the price (may change over time)

For "Wanted games"
.. Want to trade for equal value game (see note below)
- I'm not dying for this game and looking for someone unloading it -- I often put this when I have too many games in the "to play" queue already smile
+ I've got to have it and will offer you greater value in exchange
$ I'll pay cash for it if we agree to a price

NOTE: I use a shopping comparison engine (www.mysimon.com) to "bluebook" your game vs. my game. I look for the average low price of both games new to determine their "value" as used games. If the new value is similar, usually the used value is similar as well. I think this is a fair way to value games, as newness is not the only thing that contributes to the value of a game. A new Daikatana costs much less than a new Diablo II, for example.

I am always willing to consider cash as a way to make up the difference in value between your game and my game. Make me an offer (just make sure it's a reasonable one, or you're wasting time for both of us smile)

HOW TO READ THE CONDITION COLUMN

Here's a look into how I interpret the condition column and how I rate my availables. I expect that if you've listed YOUR game in one of these conditions, and your way of evaluating condition is different from mine, you will let me know when you propose or accept the trade. Let's avoid misunderstandings and disappointments.

Excellent---> Just like buying it new, except opened. Box and manual look like they've been "read once" with great care. CD is unscratched, or has a few very fine and tiny scratches.
Very good---> Excellent, except CD may have a few more scratches, box might be crumpled on an edge, manual has a bent page or something
Good---> Hopefully you've got the picture, but now it looks as though several people have played the game. More wear and tear, but still nothing that would make you sad if you received it in the mail (unless detailed in the comment)
Fair--->still works and you can still read the manual if it's included, but it's been around the block.

MY SHIPPING PREFERENCES

I prefer to ship to US and Canada only. I also prefer to ship regular priority mail ($3.20 to US) using the free priority mailing box and newspaper to protect the game. I have found free box is well worth the $1 more you might pay over regular shipping (which takes forever anyway).

PAYING CASH FOR MY GAMES

I will sell games that are marked with a "$." I will oftentimes not mark an old game for sale if the value of the game is less than what it's worth for me to sell it to you (i.e. the hassle of exchanging games with you is not worth a $10 sale to me.) If you want to buy a couple of old games together, I might sell them to you as a "package," even if the individual games are not marked for sale.

If you want to pay me cash for a game, I've found the free, secure Paypal service (www.paypal.com) is easy and will save you the cost of a money order. You can sign up at Paypal instantly. Or money order and check work great to, if Paypal won't work for you.

Please use this link to quickly join (I'd appreciate it, as I get a bonus for referring you, and it costs you nothing to use the link):

HOW I HANDLE NEW TRADERS

If you have not been rated to my satisfaction, or are a new trader, you can expect to ship to me first. I will be very prompt about communication and return shipping, so you'll still get the game fast. Feel free to contact anyone I've traded with before. I'm doing my best to build up a good reputation for myself on this great site.

GAMES I LIKE

I most enjoy role-playing, 1st-person shooter and adventure games. Anything with a great story or high production values would likely appeal to me (the more immersive the better). If you have a game you'd like to trade that I haven't listed as one I want, tell me about it. I do dabble in other game areas.
