Update on 11/04/2009:

Name changed back to polaris1966 * love * You're welcome, BoB * smile *

The Gamecube has been traded, sorry folks. I've managed to trade for an original DS, and that will be my main portable for a good long time to come. I also have a Gameboy Advance Sp (frontlit, cobalt blue) with the following games:

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red version
Pokemon Emerald (playing this now and building my Pokemon up)
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (Gameboy Color)

The DS is platinum in color with the charger and stylus. Maybe in the future if I can afford it, I'll try to get a DS Lite, but for now the DS original is my main portable gaming machine.

The SNES and games are now GONE Frank traded me for some DS stuff which I needed. Thanks, Frank! * yes *

Note on shipping

I will send out via USPS and provide you with delivery confirmation on packages.

Another Note

Thanks to a laptop with wifi, I now have internet access on the weekends and can respond to trade offers or PM's. The laptop isn't top of the line, but it manages to run Windows Xp and has a pretty fast connection with Comcast and the wireless router in the living room.

Last Note

I'm back to working a full work week (Monday through Thursday). If you have less trades than me, I would expect you to send first. Anyone without a star will ship first period, unless I'm paying you, then my money order will go out. About the same trades, I will ship at the same time (but see above about shipping).

Confessions of a Pokemon Fanatic

Yes, I've been picked on around here because I still enjoy Pokemon. BoB has kidded me on occasion about this, but let's face it, folks. I'm not going to stop liking Pokemon! I've been around with the little critters since the first game came out, and yes, I've dabbled in the trading card game. The latest games on the DS make me love this little franchise even more than I did before. So, if anyone out there hates my Pokemon, too bad. I My Pokemon can beat up your honor student!! * raspberry *

Seriously, I might be a middle-aged nerd, but hey.....it makes me happy. So there! * wink *

One More Side Note (you thought my notes were over, didn't you?)

The old DOS-based game, Starfleet 1: The War Begins!, is a really great space/strategy game that is one of the best tactical games of the older genre IMO. There's plenty of "meat" within this game, mission lengths, and difficulty levels, to keep you coming back for more. Despite primitive graphics, you should give this a shot with DOSBox. The old games are still fun to play...seemed they depended on using your IMAGINATION (what's that, you ask?) versus flashy, pretty graphics. Some other DOS games to check out are;

Space Rogue
Wizardry Series
Ultima Series
XCom: UFO Defense
Elite (first one is great)
Dungeons and Dragons "gold box" editions (Pool of Radiance, Secret of the Silver Blades, etc.)

If you find these, try them out. You will need DosBox to run them, however........unless you have a VERY old 386/486/Pentium I computer..

Happy trading! * yes *

-Steve
