Yeah, it’s probably Resident Evil or Monster Hunter since they say it’s a “major” title. But I’d love to see Capcom do something with Dino Crisis. That’s still the dream for me.

Dude you’re speaking to my soul. I’ve been clamoring for a Dino Crisis remake for over a decade or more now. Or Onimusha.

Man I’d be all over a proper Onimusha remake! But they remastered Onimusha 1 and I don’t think it did very well so who knows if/when they’ll return to the franchise. But games set in feudal-era Japan like Nioh, Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro all did well so
a full-blown remake made using the RE engine would slay, imo.

I mean if anything I guess I’d settle for an Onimusha 2 and 3 remaster at the end of the day but yeah the Onimusha 1 remaster was kinda shallow and just a port it felt like basically so I get it. I still played the poop out of it though. Haha

Just saw there is an Onimusha series coming to Netflix, maybe a remaster tie in?

They said it would sell millions, right? It's none of that crap lol. Genma Onimusha probably moved like 500K copies digitally and phsically max, pulling a number out of my ass. Don't quote me on it but I severely doubt it's going to be the reissue series they immediately abandoned on launch.

That reminds me I bought that Onimusha remaster a few years ago on Switch and never tried it. Maybe I should do that. I hope it aged better than the original Devil May Cry remaster also on Switch, because I bought that too and gave up early on. I had no nostalgia for it (nor will I for Onimusha) to keep me wanting to play.

Please make Killer 7 2 Capcom.

Probably waste of time hoping for dormant series IMO unless they think they can rebrand them in a way that would be a big seller.

Crap I forgot about DMC. Devil May Cry 6 would be neat. Or maybe a DMC3 Remake.

My dream "big announcement" from Capcom would be a new Breath of Fire. But Zack and Wiki 2 Ben brought up would be killer! I doubt it's anything like that though.

Was it that good? I installed it a week or two ago on Steam. Haven't played it yet and don't even know anything about it, but it will be the next PC game I play through.

Not that good, but for a forgotten Capcom game I thought it was pretty good. Id play a 2nd game for sure.

It wasn’t great but it did have a good premise and gameplay was a good foundation for a sequel to expand on it.

That game was developed by Dont Nod (Life is Strange) and only published by Capcom.

I’m not sure who even owns that IP because it was originally a PS3 exclusive called Adrift but Don’t Nod and Sony had a falling out or something and then it got rebranded and completely retooled. It was my most anticipated game the year it came out. I doubt anyone here remembers but it had some of the coolest concept art and bullshots ever. It was supposed to be an RPG originally so I was praying for something kinda like Deus Ex, but the final product was a forgettable game with generic combat and a cool city you couldn’t even explore because there were invisible walls everywhere. The main character was cool, tho. That’s the only good thing I remember about it.

Ugh, I wish Edge controllers would come down in cost, and/or Sony would make more unique variants.

Found these guys, and damn these look awesome! $300-$400 awesome? Probably not.

Remote Play is playing better than ever via PC. Currently playing Spiderman 2 and have zero latency, it's pretty incredible.

well that's good, that means it should be pretty flawless with PS Porta.

Sony filed a new patent that will allow users to replay specific parts of games without needing to keep track of multiple save files.

In a new patent filed by Sony earlier this month, it was revealed that the tech titan plans to bring about a feature allowing users to cherry-pick exact moments from which they can replay a game.

It’s a feature that would empower users to track back through a campaign and select a specific moment in time to change a decision, re-experience something epic, or recount their steps, without needing to replay entire chapters – or the whole game.

Titled ‘CONTENT STREAMING WITH GAMEPLAY LAUNCH’, the all-new patent shows the desired process through a series of handy sketches and diagrams.

It’s shown that gameplay sequences would be split up into subchapters complete with ‘trigger points’ that players can select from, planting them in the heart of the specific scene they want to replay in a matter of seconds.

This will be a huge win for content creators, for example. Do you want to make a video showcasing how to defeat a particular boss?

Well, with this new feature, you can jump straight to that fight without needing to tailor a save around it or playing the game up to that point – which might be several hours at least.

In the flow put forward in the Sony document it was revealed that it’ll work something like this:

As the user plays their game, information regarding ‘media content’ will be stored, with trigger points being associated with ‘specific data sets’
The user will have the opportunity to stream media content over ‘a communication work’ to their device
These ‘trigger points’ will be offered to the player while they stream media, watching back through gameplay, which they’ll be able to select at will
The system will identify ‘game data’ associated with said trigger points
Based on the game data associated with the trigger points, the system will ‘launch the interactive title for gameplay by the user device based on the identified set of game data associated with the select trigger point

That means that, while watching gameplay, if you suddenly became enamoured and wanted to leap back in, you could – you would have the option to get straight back into the game from the point that you’re viewing.

There’s a lot of information up in the air, but it reads like an interesting enough concept on paper.

interesting how will that work? I have an end game save file but I want to go back to that battle with Goro in Yakuza Like a Dragon because the music was amazing as fudge. But as it is I'd have to start a new game to get there.

If it's just about the music and not actually playing it there's always Youtube.

Oh no, I want to create a gameplay video of using the most insane magic attacks during that battle. Yeah me too, and I hope it has a battle as insane as that one.

I have to say it looks pretty good and comfortable. I have a Razer Kishi and playing on my phone doesnt feel right for some games (like shooters). At $200 ill pass though. Id pay $150 if it eventually streams PS5 games from PS Extra or whatever.

I'm with you, it sounds cool and it's a good piece of technology. Having full access to our gaming library while on the move is the way of it now.

For me though, my first thought is when/where would I use this outside of a bathroom break? The answer that I keep coming to is "AT WORK", which means I don't need to have this. If you travel a lot, especially with kids, long car rides, etc. I can see it's usefulness. For me, it will just be a tempting distraction I don't need. My kids already have a switch, an iPad, a phone, etc...

This is of course assuming that it works to an adequate level while being on different networks and further away from your home PS5...early reviews seem to point to this experience being less than desirable.
