IGN had some pretty strong complaints like image buffering and stuttering during heavy movement scenes but overall he seemed jazzed about it when it was working great, so it got a higher score than the Steam Deck. So that's something.

Someone mentioned "what about stick drift", and that's gonna be a painful failure. Do people have PS5 controller stick drift issues? I haven't heard of any but on this that'd be a real bummer.

I had stick drift once. Miraculously I was still within the return period.

It's a shame that the controller isn't more modular for replacement and upgrades. Obviously a gen 2 feature, for $300.

I watched Dreamcast Guy's video and he loved it. He said it had some pretty great response times but the only game he had an issue with was with the Final Fantasy rhythm game. He made no mention of image buffering. He did say he got disconnects every 30 min or so... he said his internet is great (2gig) but maybe he had an issue with his home Wifi... Some houses are "cursed" no matter what you do for wifi. I will test mine out when I get it.. .argh 6 days. I am going to contact Gamestop and walmart if they have one sooner I will just get it and return mine.

I think many people would realize that their wifi coverage sucks outside of their “media room” if you actually test it. It is not easy to get great coverage with decent speeds in a home over 2000 sq ft with lots of walls and two floors. There still isn’t a great solution for pure wifi / mesh as well. I just installed new hardwire ports in my home and decided we’d use wifi / room as needed instead of wasting money on an expensive mesh like Orbi etc. tested those and there are still a few dead spots in important places despite optimal node placement. Where the coverage is optimal all of my devices function great- where it’s not- they all drop and stutter etc about the same. In my personal experience-99% percent of the time a device seems bad because the network infrastructure is not optimized. As well Sony wifi in ps systems is awful. Any cubby / wall etc puts it to the test at reasonable distance.

I got Spider-Man 2 from the library and it's dope. Insomniac has clearly learned and improved as they've gone from Spider-Man to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and now to Spider-Man 2.

Yeah, they do.. Even ours up here. I currently have Jedi Survivor and Street Fighter 6 on hold (they are closed for inventory this week). I am going to use the Library more, basically any game I can finish in under 20-25 hours I will get at the Library and look into buying the others. It's going to save me a crap load of money.

I knew they occasional had games but I thought they only did somewhat older games like The Order 1886. Gonna check mine out.

Played about 3 hours of Spider-Man 2 last night and will definitely try to finish it during the 7 day checkout period, which is the allotted time for a new release. Although, they did away with late fees a while ago so technically you have up to ~25 more days to return it after the "due date" because they charge you the full price to replace the item. I'll probably stick to the main story because I got tired of trying to 100% Spider-Man Remastered after getting close, and didn't both doing side stuff with Mile Morales.

Finally got my Portal today! Yep, Hands down the best handheld I have ever held. I love that I am playing Jedi Survivor while watching the game

On the playstation store website (e.g. https://library.playstation.com/recently-purchased ) if you sign on and click your account icon in the top-right, there's a "subscriptions management" option that seems to have a "change" option. I think it may allow you to downgrade from there.

true, that would be smart marketing. But I love the thing just because it's enjoyable to play a short session in bed, or at the computer desk while having a youtube vid in the background, and then setting it aside again. But I'm a handheld gaming nut, I love all the different types of gaming handhelds from tiny gb micro to bulky ass legion go.

Is Dragon Dogma 2 that unannounced game by Capcom that's coming? It said it was supposed to come by March of next year and it's just been confirmed for March. If so that's a disappointment for me.

But I was thinking they already announced that game.

I would like for Capcom to revisit Deep Down, a co-op dungeon crawler that they first announced in early 2013 during Sony's big reveal of the PlayStation 4. It was allegedly near completion but I don't think they ever talked about it again after that, and wasn't even shown later that year at E3.
